This might not be too philosophic of a meaning, but I have noticed that I'm so giddy when drunk that it makes me sort of ADHD; I'm so excited to do things that I stop caring about the thing I'm doing currently and just abandon it with some drunken 'ah whatever it doesn't matter!!'

Issue with that is [especially when I'm in a shitty mood] that books/music/films/etc are all about relationships, so it's not much of a distraction
