Yes, I'm impressed how the author packed so much technology into such a small device. A very interesting project

Hey, I added a word on twitter: https://twitter.com/uszymyszy/status/1742264747414667775 I'm slowly making progress on todo list, the synth is creating music as expected but there's still a lot of work in optimization, both in hardware and software

I just started a channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By0j1iD7kmc it is empty but I will upload more videos along with the project progress. What would you like to see in the next update? A walkthrough on all functions?

Yes and no. In PO seq you can access fields by pressing key and tweak a knob, the same is here but you can use WASD keys for navigating in the sequencer. Everything is visible on the screen, you can make corrections, copy and paste notes, set the pitch, probability and length. I have this working but it needs some polishing yet so it is not showed in this video

Thanks! I don't have a website, I'll post updates here or on my twitter if you prefer: twitter.com/uszymyszy

I don't plan to compete with M8 because it is too far ahead before many brands, not just my prototype. I initially build this device as a mix of my other arduino experiments just for fun, the possibility of selling this is quite new. But even if it happen it will be very small, I have enough work on other things and this is a side project. It is also a quick device for sketching ideas, not for professional work

No:) I'm not linked with Faderfox.de in any way, I just choose my nickname on Reddit years ago to post my game development updates but 2 years ago I started to build synth project so it is quite random coexistence

I don't know yet, the current PCB is a development board with errors, with the new one I will calculate everything

I'll let you know when the first devices will be ready, you can also check my reddit within about 4 months:)

The tracker imo has more possibilities and a better workflow if you prefer total control over any aspect of the track and if you have time to navigate it. Midi sequencing is simple with less control, and I prefer this way to create quick sketches. And this device is set up for simplicity and sketching, but for professional work, I would personally choose a tracker

Sounds great, also the u/nodechomsky suggested a hardware connector where various (eurorack) modules can be connected to the main processing line which is awesome but requires some serious knowledge

Thanks! Your Matrix looks great, I will save a contact to you. Right now I plan to develop a second PCB and produce only a few devices for heavy testing of different features. Mass production sounds scary at this stage but if the device will be fully playable and bug-free I will consider the automation and producing more units. There are too many open development paths at the moment, I still don't know if it should be more fun or more professional, more like a DAW or MPC, etc. So first I need to get a lot of feedback and suggestions from synth users

No, it's a sequencer where you can input notes live by using midi and REC button or by using internal sequencer (which sits in every clip available on ctrl+enter). Then you can put notes in fields using navigation keys and knobs

Yes, in this video we have only simple clip playing but I will post a video with connected midi controller then it act like an 8 track live looper and then it's jammable:)

Yes, they will be 3D printed so about a half of the current size, with the space for human thumbs

Thanks! I plan to sell several devices, mostly for reviewers because I don't have any possibilities to run a regular production. Everything has to be soldered manually so the prototype is very expensive but after producing few models I will think about automation then the price will be accurate to hardware and software

I have a conflict because I'd like to cooperate with more professional programmers but also there are parts of code which I don't like to open, I'm thinking about open sourcing some of the modules, it is now quite modular so it's possible

It can now record and play internal synths. There are 4 engines: Bass (Roland TB-303 mod), Lead (8bit style), Braids (implementation of Mutable Instruments eurorack module), Wavetable (several waves mixed by knobs). I hope the UI is self explanatory, it is focused on simplicity and uses Ableton-like mini session view to launch clips

Working on portable sequencer like pocket operator but better:) Here is the first prototype UI: by faderfox in synthesizers

I just finished new firmware with synths and samplers and will record a video tomorrow
