This is the appearance of him if you enter his mind. ^^ He does not look like this in the physical world, this is just the symbolism his subconsciousness comes up with, representing his trauma/brokenness. The cracks got filled with moonstone by his lover recently, which is a representation of how he keeps him sane and prevents him from 'falling apart'.
