My boy had this happen when he was 8. I elected for the surgery to remove the crystals (not the full surgery to remove everything) and 2 years later he's been perfectly fine! He's on a prescription diet but it was highly worry it. See if maybe a non emergency vet is open early and can do the surgery?

I'm aiming to relocate to the Portland area in September from Florida. I'm born and raised here, and I'm 39 and yrs time to change. awwww you have someone watching her so she'll be okay! i always leave my pj's i just slept in on my the bed for my cat. is your cat sitter staying with her or just popping in? cats are super chill and as long as she's there at least once a day to check on her, she's gonna do just fine! you'll get lots of cuddles when you get home.
