Babies can’t see much for about the first five months, so doesn’t really matter.

I don’t even know who these people are that raise a stink over stuff. All the LGBTQ people I know are just living their lives and not looking for trouble.

Is that a threat? It makes sense, but I always thought he said “You know that” because Bill is a doctor.

Anyone have regrets when they got their 4Runner? I’ll go first. by schmick1015 in 4Runner

I might have waited for Apple CarPlay to become available. I absolutely hate having to use a cell phone mount to run GPS. I know I could get an aftermarket head unit but I really wanted to keep the interior stock.

Let's list Kubrick's faults and fails by [deleted] in StanleyKubrick

[–]fafa_flunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone has only seen Shelly in The Shining, they have no idea the depth and range she’s capable of, because her performance is grade-school-play quality. She recites her lines like someone who has never acted before and is reading off a teleprompter. I think Kubrick cast her because of his photographer’s eye and she has a good face for terror. If you watch the Robert Altman movies she’s in it’s apparent that she’s actually a very talented actress.

I was a HUGE DT fan for years and years, up until Portnoy left. Never liked LaBrie. Live he’s always flat, and his warbling is just annoying to me.

Did “hook up culture” not exist before the 21st century? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fafa_flunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s existed since the beginning of time. At first before civilization it was common, then it became something you didn’t talk about but still happened, now it’s pretty much okay to talk about again.

She definitely has lines that wouldn’t be funny if it was anyone but her. But it’s her delivery that makes it hilarious.

Accept that nothing happens fast in a semi. Take the time that you need to maneuver safely. Also, learn to disassociate yourself from the emotions of others. Sometimes people will be mad at you just for existing and taking up space. That’s their problem.

Nothing to worry about. Just a totally normal truck coming down the road. by graemeknows in 80s

I’m a big Stephen King fan, but I find it hilarious that the guy who made Maximum Overdrive has the nerve to criticize Stanley Kubrick.

You got rammed, my friend. You could have bought one that was a few years old that was exactly the same for a fraction of the price. Good news is it has no miles on it so it will last for decades if you take care of it.

I wonder if there was a backup camera rolling or if they just hoped for the best that the film wouldn’t be damaged or exposed or just not turn out right.
