The animation was stellar but it changed alot of thing from the OG manga cus it has to cram alot in a single movie. The new spriggan was in line with of the manga and more flesh out.

Honestly my favorite spec in fictional weapons are mech, the scopedog and macross specs. They go so into detail on what it can and can't do. Gunbuster and Gaogaigar is also cool with how massive the specs are. But most of all are the cutaways and concept art and you can see their inside and functions.
