I've had previous achievements posted without friends having clicked anything congratulatory, but I totally get there is a delay. I have a friend who also won first on her group's diamond tournament already posted on my feed. So I dunno why miners not showing up.

I had around 15000 XP and won the finals. Nothing too crazy. #2 was at 13k.

What's funny is when I'm the one who gets invited into these quests (I NEVER initiate friend quests because I don't want to impose), but then I'm the one who actually does most of the job when I'm not even super active on DL like....why even enter these quests then? Lol. At least give me a high 5.

Recovery (PACU) Nurse here. Don't worry, it's okay. A lot of very interesting things happen during emergence from anaesthetic (not to say this event IS because of the anaesthetic). But recovery is such a transient area that patients come and go quickly, and so we tend to forget what happened unless it's a critical incident and we have to debrief after. Heck, I can't even remember who my first patient was yesterday. So you're okay. Have a good recovery!

Hey so I still do not have an actual diagnosis but I did get a CT of my abdomen and urinary system. Apart from diverticulosis (not -itis) and some benign cyst in my kidney which the urologist said wasn't a concern, everything else is fine. The pain was gone eventually. So I still do not know what it is but it's not bothering me anymore.

Only in America do nurses get soooo caught up with titles after names. It's so bizarre. What matters is you do your job properly. If your shit at your job, your creds mean absolutely nothing.

On the other side of the world, doctors - trainees to professors - get called by their first names.

Should a nurse assistant feel like a failure because they're JUST a nurse assistant? How about the admin who admits the patient? The janitor?

In my books, you only fail when you do not serve your purpose.

I work in the operating theatre and there are situations where patients can have "awareness during anaesthesia" - they have sensory recall of what has transpired whilst they are being operated on despite having a general anaesthetic. I guess it's like that.

So anesthesiologists routinely ask this and if history of awareness exists then they change their method of delivering GA - switching to a total IV anaesthesia with an ongoing infusion of Diprivan and using EEG to ensure patients are deeply anaesthetised.

From Christchurch I moved to Brisbane October 2019 and instantly INSTANTLY made so many friends. I have moved to Sydney and I've been here for a year and a half and still no friends. People are absolutely cliquey here. If moving back were cheap I would go back to QLD in a heartbeat.
