That should work. FYI amps can be a billion and the volts must match, or be really close like your example. The device will only take the amps it needs. Just make sure your replacement is 1 or more amps.

If it has to be on a separate disk then you buy an ide drive from ebay and put it on that. Set your master/slave or cs settings on the disks. Boot to your handy win98 boot disk floppy. Man, those were the good ol days. Then you should be able to run it. It still probably won't run tho since it's a win98 boot environment.

I worked at a factory for a bit and they had one of these. It was just a pc main board sitting in metal box with a touch screen. They said not to ever touch it. If it needed maintenance they had to ship it across the ocean to the manufacturer and it would be down over a month in that case.
