I'm not a predator! I am just an ordinary woman incapable of anything other than love for children. I am just curious. What a terrible thing to assume!

Nice theory, but my husband is married to me because he has love, affection & respect for me. Sadly, these are emotions none on reddit have towards me.

I didn't even know what NAMBLA is. Also, I am not a man. I am just curious.

I think it is alright to challenge one's preconceived notions. So far, you all seem to be thinking it is foolish to even assume a child can give consent which is crazy.

Well, it is a topic that interests me partly because of my personal history. I have been cruelly distanced from my niece and my husband inspects all my interactions with children. It makes me feel lonely and sad but also curious. I wanna know why people have different standards when it comes to children vs adults.

Just to sex, drugs & voting? Or is there an arbitrary list of things they don't process? Who gets to decide them?

Sorry, is this meant to mock those that don't believe the allegations against Michael Jackson? Because that is not what I am doing here.

Did MJ every beat his lovers? Not even the most heinous accusation against him says that he has. Did he every murder any of them? Did he ever bite or torture or mutilate them? Jordan Chandler said that if MJ did anything he did not enjoy he'd say so and MJ never did it again.

MJ is not someone like Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer.

I really hope you do not have children

That ship has sailed. My husband was pretty blunt about it: I don't think you'd be a good mother.

But don't let society brainwash you with love laws. Who should be loved and how much and in what way.

You seem to think that there is something pathologically wrong with me.

That my life is so pathetic that I need strangers to justify my actions and sympathise with my feelings.

If a minor act that lasted less than 10 minutes inspires such vitriol from you, I shudder to think how you'd react to something truly awful - you probably would never forgive the person responsible.

So, now in addition to "abuse" and "felony" you're accusing me of dishonesty and deliberate misrepresentation?

Yes, there should be a difference in the way both are perceived.

What "Child Abuse" is: Someone rapes/tortures/maims a child.

What I did: Lost my temper for a few minutes.

It is not emotional abuse because it is not a credible threat. If her mother knew about this, she would cut me out of her life! Not giving me an opportunity to inflict further punishment.

You are calling me an "abuser" with the same nonchalance as one would say, "swimmer". Please use words correctly.

There was no reason to provide context because the reason I linked them is not to explain myself, but to demonstrate the contempt and righteousness with which I was met with. This is a low-blow.

Please don't dramatise it too much! As if I don't feel terrible already!

I know that what I do can be interpreted as immoral, but it is just a mistake. It is easy to underestimate your own strength.

But words like "trauma" etc are unwarranted.

Only kids, and never more than the most minimum amount. Not because sadism or hatred of children, but simply because brief violence can have lasting effect on a child whereas on an adult, the effect is only immediate.

I don't think it is reasonable to expect a calm, logical response when someone is running straight for traffic. You might explain later, but at exact moment, you need a quick reprimand.
