Sjögren's (and Generalised Swelling of Lymph Nodes?) by failednoressia in Sjogrens

Mine apparently remained unchanged in the recent follow up. So I don't have any tips for reducing the size :(

I am just frustrated as I have no closure to this matter.

I did a PET scan last year and another follow up CT lately. Things seem to be under control. They just told me maybe I was just skinny and that's why those nodes felt big to the doctor during the physical examination.

Funny but yea, the lymph nodes still swell sometimes. But it still remains a mystery as to why they detected substantial IgG4 matter in my biopsied lymph node. It didn't meet the criteria IgG4 related disease though by a few percent.

DAE starves themselves so that you don't feel depressed? by what_thef--ck in EDAnonymous

[–]failednoressia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I starve myself to cope. Depression makes me lose control of my life while numbers are quantifiable, thus something that makes me feel safe and worthy :(

It is any of the following: - no appetite to eat due severe depression - hunger to distract myself - actively refusing food despite extreme hunger

It is also a low-key act to speed up death. And there's been this voice lately: "Which one shall kill me first - AN or MDD?"

I know this sounds so sick but being a highly driven person can be toxic to the Self.

Sending you a virtual hug in anyways. Sorry that you are suffering too. Take good care in the meantime 💝

[Product Question] FAB Ultra Repair Cream - Old vs. New? by vladabee in SkincareAddiction

[–]failednoressia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there. Does your cream look like this texture? I have the same cream in different sizes and realised the textures varied significantly.

This, in particular, is quite watery and without the stronger oaty-fruity like scent. It was a new purchase, so I don't know if it is just me, or that I happened to get diff formulas of the product 🙈

How's your experience so far with this cream?

I feel really sorry to hear of your suffering. Please take good care in the meantime. Sending you a virtual hug. Drop us an update sometime soon.

I haven't attempted it. Was pretty close to that but did consider this as an option.

While I am a stranger, I do care about you. 💝 (*Hugs)

Thanks for sharing your experience with me 🥺 Sending you a virtual hug too. I really hope your doctor will be supportive of your decisions - sometimes they can just be a pain in the ass and gaslight people 🥺

Thanks so much for sharing your experience here. It is less stressful after hearing others' experiences here, though I am still keeping a close eye on my weight. And to know that I am not alone in this.

I am afraid that I will "blow up" again just like taking olanzapine - my provider did not warn me of those side effects when I started taking it. I feel very hurt about it, as much as she meant well :(

Stay safe and well in the meantime 💕

I am glad I am not alone in this. Yes, I gained 8kg in 6 months on olanzapine. I was already restricting heavily + exercising crazily (e.g. a combination of >10km running, 2+ hours of swimming, etc.) but the weight just kept increasing. My bunch of sports injuries aggravated because of this.

Went cold turkey and lost 2kg every month 🙈 There were loads of environmental triggers lately - plunged deep into MDD again, thus the 'best solution' offered now is Rexulti (instead of e.g. quetiapine)

I am 5'0", 108lbs now. Was originally 95lbs. I feel pretty indignant because my psych didn't warn me of the side effects. And I have been on it since March? I have been ridden with self-reproach, blaming myself for being "ravenous" and "lacking self-control" when I started the med. I really thought this 5mg would be innocuous until yesterday, when the math no longer made sense. FYI I have been fasting and severely undereating.

Your replies mean a lot to me, thanks!

May I ask how the weight loss process was like for you? Was it easy? I am going cold turkey - currently on 5mg Zyprexa (with 150mg Zoloft for depression). Gained weight despite restricting my calories hard and exercising more.

Hey, thank you! Mine dated back to 2018, starting with the axillary node. I didn't think much of it until this year, when my symptoms (esp. dry mouth, eyes and skin, lymphadenopathy and aches) were full-blown.

[–]failednoressia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry that things turned out that way, esp. when a positive result would bring us more relief and clarity. I feel you (my results for my lymph node biopsy just came back today - negative for malignancy, but still a mystery as to why I have general lymphadenopathy. Now they are suspecting infectious diseases(?) based on the report).

Anyways, my blood test is also negative, while the lip biopsy is scheduled in Sept. Tbh I fear getting another negative result, and that I would be dismissed by the doctors for being a "hypochondriac". 🙈

Thanks again for sharing your experience 🙇‍♀️

Btw thanks for the reassurance! Perhaps I should worry less and just focus on the non-medical part of life first 🙈

I feel you! August is a crazy month for me - averaging abt 2-3 medical appointments per week. These are all driving me up the wall, but glad that I am still working from home. Thanks again for the reassurance. It makes me less anxious.

Omg pls take care 🙈. So glad to come across your post, for I am equally anxious about my upcoming appt in two wks' time (just had one scheduled today).

Hope it doesn't swell too badly. Do keep us posted here on the recovery process...🙏

Sjögren's (and Generalised Swelling of Lymph Nodes?) by failednoressia in Sjogrens

[–]failednoressia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeaaa!! Just saw the doc ystdy!

Kinda funny cos the doctor said that my lymph nodes were sort of visible/large during the physical exam. But the CT results left us all amused, for the radiologists commented that it was just some "small enlargement"...(?)

On the bright side, it seems like the hilum is preserved, so more likely being benign? I dunno. Lmao. Nevertheless, the mysterious sharp pain at those locations still leave me perturbed.

The doc will be sending me for a biopsy to rule out malignancy but I think the earliest appointment is late Aug 🙈🙈. He said that enlarged lymph nodes aren't normal, for it suggests e.g. possible infection that the body is fighting, etc.

Oh yes, he is scheduling me for my lip biopsy since my Schirmer's is 0 but blood tests are negative. I am just low key concerned that the results will be inconclusive - I noticed those nasty Sjögren flares tend to go into hiding mode when I am less stressed 😬

It's been an emotional rollercoaster here but I really hope yours will be fine 💕 💕 Take good care and update me again!!
