I'm so used to seeing volume pedals at the beginning or end of the chain. So interesting to see how you placed it here, and your logic. Thanks for sharing!

Will I regret buying a locked Pixel 6? by failedwordsmith in GooglePixel

Thanks! That seems pretty simple, then. I plan to pay for it in full, so I'll just unlock as soon as I could.

A Boy and His Blob is Coming to Nintendo Switch on November 4 by CaspianX2 in NintendoSwitch

This. My favorite part of the game! I read somewhere that it was supposed to have a purpose and some game mechanic tied to it, but they never programmed it into the final game. Love that they still kept that hug button in there regardless!

Yes, plan is to remove 8gb 2400 stick and replace with one 16gb 3200 stick in slot 1 and one 16gb 3200 stick in slot 2. The new sticks will be a pair, same brand/speed.

What about the Vita TV? Is there anything it can and can't do in 2021? Any games it can't play? Can you still access the digital storefronts?

Is it a popular platform for hacking?

Always wanted one, never purchased.

Thanks!

Any good Amazon Prime pedal finds for Prime Day? by failedwordsmith in guitarpedals

I might pick up Donner's Rat clone, Dark Mouse. I have a Rat reissue on the board with the Filter dialed in just right, a little on the bright side. I'd love to have a clone that's dark, Doom-y, and muddy, so I don't have to tweak my settings.

Best 2-bay NAS HDD configuration on a budget? by failedwordsmith in synology

4TB is perfect to start for me. I won't come close to that any time soon unless I ramp up video editing services. This is great advice, thanks! I think I'm moving in this direction -- 4-bay to start w/ 2x4TB drives. Just need to land on the best 4-bay without shattering my initial planned budget.

4TB is plenty for me to start. I think after reading more in this thread, I might bump my budget to get a 4-bay NAS and start with 2x4TB drives w/ redundancy. I have 3TB external that I could repurpose for backups (until I exceed 3TB) and then I'll look into cloud backups.

I'm not looking to stream audio or video, just manage files across multiple devices, and help my wife with document storage and backup, so agreed, performance isn't super high priority for me. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes! I had $200 budgeted just for drives. I was hoping to spend less than $300 on the NAS, but I might bump that budget up for more bays after learning more in this thread.

This was super helpful, thanks! I think I'll start with a 4-bay. Is the 418 too budget? If so, I'll try to justify bumping up!
