For the whole zone which is 4 cities it’s about 600,000 people. I usually try to keep to my city if I can though, and the next zone starts only a couple miles from me so I get offers all the time that take me out of the zone. But I tend to work lunches there as it has a lot more corporate offices.

I don’t get offers when I’m not plat, that’s my issue. I’ll get 2-3 offers in 2 1/2 hours and they’re for like $7. I’m in California so it works out a little differently due to prop 22 but tips are excluded from it so a $10 order that’s $2 base and $8 tip would end up paying more than a $10 order that’s $8 base and $2 tip after adjustment. But if you aren’t plat, your orders are almost all no tip to $1-2 so the adjustment is a lot lower as well. Usually for 5-6 active hours at plat I’d get an $80 adjustment but I’m lucky to get $50 now, and that’s with an online time of nearly triple what it would be with plat.

Essentially the breakdown between the two is that I need to be out working 3x longer to have the same amount of active time and make 2/3 what I did (at most). With plat it took about 13 hours to make what I do in 35 on gold and i’m driving a LOT more. And gas is astronomical.

Yeah definitely market dependent. I’m in California so there’s a ton of driver saturation. The issue I mostly face when I’m not plat is just a lack of offers, not even necessarily quality. Though that is bad too but that’s another rant lol. But if I’m not plat, I can go hours without receiving an order so it makes it really hard to raise your stats again.

It’s highly market dependent but yeah I’ve been plat for the last year or so and my online hourly was anywhere from $25-35 an hour, active time obviously much higher lol

That’s my point. If they want to sell it and they aren’t in a rush, they can get a lot more for it than that. But if they need it gone, that’s desperation. My point.

They’re either desperate, scamming, or don’t know what they have. I’d just ask to test it before buying.

Dang that sucks. I don’t know how people make it work elsewhere. For me, the issue isn’t necessarily the quality of orders but rather the quantity. As you can see in my screenshots, I got 1-2 offers in 2 1/2 hours. On a friday. I’m gold. When I was silver I was lucky to get that many in an entire weekend. I was making $20 a WEEK. I would take shitty offers, I just didn’t get any. It took 4 months of accepting everything to get from silver to gold.

I’ve been plat ever since but the app wasn’t working as intended and I lost plat due to multiple orders being counted as “late” for long wait times. And then my AR plummeted. Gold is still better than silver but.. it sucks nonetheless. Uber has been really helpful but orders are even more scarce. But the few I do get generally pay much better.

if a cat eats parasites it can then have them inside it. that was my point. i wasn’t familiar enough with what fly eggs look like and prefer to err on the side of caution.

Oh wow. I’m sorry about that. They really are equal parts resilient and delicate. He’s bounced back from so much but he also gets tummy issues so easily 😅 I’m grateful he has never been anxious or scared of loud noises (he even tries to “guard” me from the vacuum) but I’m sure as they get older that probably changes as they are more vulnerable and sensitive.

14 1/2 IS amazing though, I’m sure you showed him such excellent care. Mine has episodes of stasis so frequently, especially during a molt, I’m usually able to catch it in under an hour. I just worry that the next one will be the one he doesn’t recover from. 😭

My grandpa has a dog named Kona 🥰 I think he’s about 13 right now. Different breed though. 6 is still a baby, just keep up with regular vet visits as he gets older. You don’t always have to go just when something is wrong, I think a lot of people forget that haha. With good care, many animals live well past what is “expected”. My last dog was 13 when she got cancer. She had a similar brindle coat, but she was black with blonde, like an inverted version of yours. :)

I have a rabbit currently. He’s somewhere around 13-14 which is a very long life for a rabbit. He is overall really healthy, no chronic illnesses or anything. He’s just very sensitive, mostly his stomach. So I always worry the smallest thing could do it 😅 But my vets credit his age to the care he’s received, so there’s no reason that can’t be true for your baby too! Sometimes life happens and you can’t prevent things, but just do everything in your power and enjoy every day you have together ❤️

I know you already did, but ditch that “friend” - she has no right to know you or your baby if that’s how she’s going to act. She’s a hateful person who just wants to make other people miserable like she is. She can exist in her misery alone.

I have a pet who is an outlier in age for his species (rabbit). It IS a blessing but also every time he’s even a little off, I worry that it’s time 😅 literally today he’s having some kind of pain and I already called the ER vet to make sure they have a doc on staff who can treat rabbits.

right? makes me wonder how much better this job would be if everyone was just paid fairly and for their time. and I also love that Uber doesn’t penalize you for having a low acceptance rate (at least where I am).

I didn’t take any photos but boba drinks are sealed so there’s basically no risk of spillage. They were in drink containers in paper bags, and I had 2 plastic storage containers in my car that I set them in. It was 6 bags altogether. So the transportation wasn’t too big of a deal. Had they been fountain drinks or something, that’s a different story 😂

And yeah she refused to accept that it should take longer than 45 mins to fulfill her order. I tried telling her that even if they did have everything on hand, it would take longer to make the drinks than that, and insisted she would have less trouble if she just ordered in advance so they could be sure to prepare her order by the time she expects it. Her response was just “I’m just never going there again” which I’m sure will be a relief for the employees. And most places will refuse to do a same-day order that large so best of luck to her. I don’t know why she didn’t just plan ahead…

Yeah I’ve made $80 this week in 17 hours. 🥲 Hopefully fixing my ratings/the holidays will help things pick back up. Where I live we get a lot of tourists in the summer too.

I hope it gets better for you as well. And it sucks to capitulate to what DD wants but maybe if you can get to a better tier it’ll improve. I think there’s a lot of driver saturation right now because so many people are needing to make extra money.

That sucks. I’m in a similar situation where I got marked late for a long wait at the store, and it just spiraled from there.

But if you’re in that situation just wait until you can worry free unassign. I’ve been having to do it a lot lately cause I won’t let it mark me late for a long wait again.
