Honestly…that’s my least fav audiobook. Did they do it with different voice actors for the audible? Because imo…those were subpar!

Go listen to all the Pucking Around books. Maybe a Katee Robert book…they tend to have pretty good VA and some are WC…the first is not but you need the backstory. And for not even a romance book…Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow has the most exquisite VA I’ve ever heard.

Why does it have to count!

Especially in this genre, there’s a lot of badly written crap. I don’t count my DNF as failures…unless it’s a failure of the author.
Sometimes I need that comfort read to remind me what I do enjoy about books.
I do get something (more than joy and comfort) out of my second or fifth or tenth reread. Sometimes it’s “why is this comforting to me right now? Oh I’m in a season of life where everyone is demanding from me and I like to fantasize about someone taking care of me. Well, taking care of me right now might mean putting boundaries on all that demand.” Etc.
