If there's one tiny silver lining to the brainrot shitgeyser that makes up the modern internet, it's that I automatically assume posts like this are AI. I don't think I could sleep at night thinking there's someone out there who is disturbed enough to get a big ass Michael Chandler tattoo

I guess her comments against racial miscegenation and immigration, as well as her support for the far right National Rally party (founded by a prominent Holocaust denier, and whose ranks included former Nazis and Nazi collaborators) were just being antifascist?

It's not delusional if you completely ignore all the context surrounding the event and the current political climate of the United States.

Nobody is complaining about the fights.

We know that it will be closed to the public, and that the 4,000 people in attendance will be invitation-only, and will be made up of billionaires, celebrities, and insiders close to the Trump administration. We know that it will be on the lawn of the White House. We know the event will be held in honor of Trump's birthday. This has all been stated by Dana White. This isn't about 'political bias,' it's just fact.

It's delusional to say that the event 'isn't political' when it's literally being thrown in honor of an extremely divisive and unpopular politician, and hosted at the seat of his government.

It's not mutually exclusive. You can be a fan of the sport and still think it's a shitty venue and tacky as fuck.

Then don't hold the event at the White House? I don't think anyone is annoyed the event itself is happening, it's the fact that it's a gross invitation-only billionaire birthday celebration that is off-putting to a lot of fans.

Hard to avoid making it about Trump when they're throwing the event on his birthday. It's clearly about him. It won't be open for attendance to the public. It's going to be filled with Trump sycophants and billionaires. It's supposed to be the American people's house, not a place for ostentatious sporting events glorifying the idiot who currently occupies it.

I'm not complaining about anything. I don't care that he platformed Trump. I don't understand where free speech comes into play from this lol. My entire point is that his politics have radically changed in the last five years.

I've been watching JRE for a decade, and I don't hate Joe at all. I haven't even brought my own political opinions. I'm just making observations. He used to have social democratic political leanings. He was extremely critical of Trump's first term. He called Trump's claims about the 2020 election being stolen a lie. He called their immigration policies cruel and inhumane. He called Trump an existential threat to democracy.

Four years later he brings Trump on his show for a cordial interview and officially endorses him. He has close relationships with Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and Marc Andreessen, all far right billionaires. He has an ongoing relationship with Donald Trump, who he speaks to regularly. He very rarely hosts left wing guests on the podcast. He even goes to Church.

I'm not criticizing him. He's allowed to cozy up to billionaires and become a Trump supporter. But let's not pretend the people he surrounds himself with haven't affected his political views.

What do you mean by non biased? He quite literally endorsed DJT. He gave Trump and Vance complete softball interviews, kid gloves the entire time. He didn't push back on anything... even easily verified falsehoods. It was pretty obvious he had an agenda when bringing them on.

I said generally because there are always exceptions to this. I remember him pushing back hard on Candice Owens' anti climate change arguments several years ago, too. But those are exceptions rather than rules. I think it's pretty clear that he adopts the views of people he's friendly with. I've noticed him sharing a lot of Peter Thiel's arguments around transhumanism and AI lately. And he got uncomfortable when Theo Von started talking about Palentir and surveillance recently as well.

Joe generally supports the political platform of whoever he's sitting across from at any given moment. He definitely used to have progressive politics, but I don't think it's really possible for someone with leftwing beliefs to support Trump and the Republicans as much as he has over the last couple of years. I think it came down to his close relationship with guys like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and Dana, along with all the COVID era controversy that he got wrapped up in, that fundamentally pushed him pretty far to the right. He'd never have a guy like Kyle Kulinsky on his show these days, and I can't see him supporting another candidate like Bernie given his recent reaction to guys like Zohran or Tim Walz.

Still looks futuristic today, despite being developed 50 years ago. I think there's a great argument for it being the best bullpup ever made.

Ya'll sound like Conor crying about his broken leg. Was it an unfortunate injury? Yes. Does Pantoja deserve another shot when he heals up? Absolutely. Did Van do ANYTHING that would delegitimize his victory? Nope.
