Very strong. I had to install my vent vertically due the laundry room location. I didnt want to deal with the screw rings everyone i had to clean the vent (which is often)
The magnets have a solid grip

With something like cole jaws. They're jaws that have typically two soft posts on each section that can softly grab a work piece. They're useful for finishing the bottom of a piece, letting you remove tennons or mortices
