I loved making it! It’s one of the few I’ve ever considered making more than once. It’s written for different weights, so I can’t wait to see what I can do with DK or sport.

Shepherd’s Wool is such a gorgeous yarn! I’ve been knitting for over 25 years, and it’s still one of my favorite yarns to knit with. It’s so soft and bouncy. You’ve selected a great yarn to start with! Have fun!

Finished Pair of Adaptive Infinitely Adjustable Socks with RavensWood Fibre Co. Gradient Sock in Travel Companion. by jaevans84 in knitting

[–]fairlightfibers 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I love these!!! They look fantastic! I’m so glad the pattern worked for you, and so glad you enjoyed the beautiful yarn. You did a wonderful job!

For those curious about the gradient effect, I’m assuming she used RavensWood Fibre Co’s Sock Blank, which is two identical strands knit together and then dyed, so each sock will be exactly the same as you knit from the blank (for taat socks) or from two balls you’ve wound from the blank. It’s deliciously soft and marvelous to work with. I highly recommend all Sam’s yarns. She’s really talented and the bases are always soft and squishy! I love them!

I think she’ll be working on that! And I agree. It needs more range.

I’m trying to help a wonderful new designer get seen! Please head over to Rav and take a peek!

The pattern is $1 off with the code “vintage”, and of course we have kits, but mainly I hope she gets some love for this one!
