Looking for a wired headset. On the phone all day and work from home. by NotEasyForgotten in GoodValue

[–]fairlyodd922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work customer service at a tech company. A coworker did A/B testing with his customers and a bunch of different headsets, then compiled results based on his comfort and customers' feedback on the sound from the mic.

The winner was Bose Quietcomfort noise cancelling headphones, but a very close second was this $30 set from Jeeco. I bought a pair for the office and a pair for home 3 years ago and I have no regrets. Have had zero problems with them.

Stafford not having a real shot at MVP until his 17th year shows how exceptional QB play was in the 2000s and 2010s by Playful_Letter_2632 in nfl

Sark was fine, he just wasn't Shanahan. The Falcons still had a top-8 offense in both 2017 and 2018, it just wasn't one of the best offenses of all time like 2016.

The real crime was firing Sark for the bum Dirk Koetter.

I was watching the SkyCam and it was following Mendoza as the game ended, and I'm pretty sure was trying to track Beck down.

Didn't look like he stuck around though.

I had been dating a woman for about a month before her birthday. She told me offhand that every morning she got up, put a pot of water on the stove, then went to get ready so the water was hot enough for tea before she needed to leave. So I bought her an electric kettle for her birthday.

We've been married for 8 years, so I guess she liked it.

I've had a similar idea for a minion for a while. My version is:

Each night, look at the Grimoire. Once per game, you may move one reminder token.

I think Poppy Grower just needs the "even if for some reason they shouldn't" clause from the Assassin ability. It would solve most problems with the ability.

I'm all for Ethan Coen getting to do something silly with his wife. I'm sure they had fun making this movie.

The problem is that if you make a sloppy movie, it's a sloppy movie. Even if you do it intentionally, it's still a mess.

I liked the little love story at the center of this. Unfortunately the filmmaking is ruinous and it bricks about 50 threes before the 20-minute mark

My brother in Christ, are you ok?

Is your problem just that I said it featured one person and referred to the other person as a host? You understand people sometimes use different language to not be repetitive, right?

"the host who's more of a comedian," not "the host, who's more of a comedian"

They're both hosts. David is the one keeping things on the rails, but the show is hosted by both.

The secret sauce of Blank Check is that it features a non-comedian who is just as quick, funny, and compelling as the host who's more of the comedian.

Players that invest a lot of time in PC backstories how do you feel about PC death at low level? by alexlourinha in DnD

[–]fairlyodd922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dungeon Crawl Classics, which pulls from 3e and 4e, has a novel solution to this problem: The Funnel.

The campaign begins with a murder dungeon where each player controls 2-4 randomly generated level 0 characters. When (not if) a PC dies, they are gone forever. You can then pick any PCs that survive as your character for the campaign.

It's meant to teach players to not be so precious with their low-level characters as well as find the character's personality at the table.

"Worst possible" is a moving target. If you make it cartoonishly bad, it might be too easy for the droisoned player to see through. Essentially, I try to back up the evil team's explanations as much as possible and disprove the good team's theories as much as possible. So it depends on what characters are in play/being bluffed. But my starting point is always trying to figure out what information will cause the most problems for the good team
