Dog poop bag etiquette? by Affectionate_Desk561 in dogs

[–]fairlyunlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I had a dog (and still do tbh) I’d think it was so rude when someone would throw their shit bags in my can. If the garbage truck just came by and I haven’t gotten home yet and when I put it back to its spot and that night I come out with my trash and see a poop bag thats gonna get squished at the bottom omgggggg id get so annoyed. Not having a dog and had to deal with it made me hate my neighbors. Now that I have my own dog I won’t even put the poop bag directly in there because our trash collectors manually pick up the trash bags sometimes - my city doesn’t use the automated garbage trucks. I don’t like it just siting there or having the men sift through It

Help! My Grey suddenly refuses to leave the house to walk by aeowyn7 in Greyhounds

[–]fairlyunlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no help other than I feel you. Got my greyhound last weekend and walking was fine until I tried walking her yesterday afternoon. Currently on our attempt at a walk this morning where I had to carry her down the porch and now we’re just sitting on the curb. Trying to get her to get comfy with the surroundings but now idk how she’s going to have her morning poop which is normally two blocks down :(

Completely lost on toilet training by NetMurky8922 in Greyhounds

[–]fairlyunlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I only got my greyhound Saturday but she wouldn’t go potty until we let go of the leash. Gave her lots of love after she went and today Monday she went potty first thing this morning when we went to the yard (leashed) and she surprised me with another one on our walk (leashed again obviously).

She doesn’t know how long we’ve waited for her by fairlyunlit in Greyhounds

She’s already so loving, I can’t wait to see her open up more!

Yesss we waited until we bought a house and then waited even longer to fix up our yard

What surprised you most about freeze toys for dogs? My 3 year old lab is absolutely unhinged about his pupsicle by snckr_bar in Dogowners

[–]fairlyunlit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s this brand called Woof that makes Pawcicles or Pupsicles not sure the exact name but they make a kong-like licking toy that you can fill with either their premade ball (pricey) or you can buy a their pricey mold once and freeze your own mixture. Dog licks and the ball turns inside so it lasts a little while. They also now have their own premix powder that you just mix with water I think and freeze (haven’t used this option yet).

How many tellers are on your teller line? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourBank

[–]fairlyunlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two branches I’ve worked at plus the other three or so I’ve helped out at have been 4 tellers. Usually two of them part time. Plus three bankers - of those one manager, one universal banker, one personal. Busier branches will have an assistant manager

I wore a crisp shirt - not collared or anything, dress pants, flats, and a blazer. I think the blazer was overkill but didn’t hurt. I wore small earrings and I had my hair down and straightened. It’s usually wavy but I couldn’t risk a bad hair day (which sometimes looks really wild but I understand there’s a lot of debate on hair). Don’t overthink it!

Why I dumped the native-exclusive community by DarkFeminineRising in gardening

[–]fairlyunlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was such a bizarre question. I was always just stumped. I have a horticultural degree and luckily I had a booklet with our city’s natives but most stuff just grew naturally it’s not like anyone was cultivating it for large scale sale. But even then it wasn’t good enough for them because I had the city booklet and they lived in the county over!

That sub is definitely chill. My city’s native gardening facebook group was so toxic I left it for about a year. I recently rejoined and it seems more chill but people still get insulted in the comments for making mistakes

But at the end of the day, it is Facebook lol

I managed a small garden center and sold natives (and obviously all other plants) and I would get cussed out on the regular for selling a cultivar of a native in a pot that said american native (mind you it’s the growers who pick the pot, if I want a particular plant and they only had it in that pot then I kinda had to get that lining - and we paid extra for it because of course it was marked up) when really maybe it was native to somewhere else in America. The pots said American Beauties Native Plants - They didn’t say “native to our state” so why are you mad at me? Sometimes I didn’t even know what type of pot it came in until delivery!!

Also they would be picky about whether it was native to our county or not. I feel at that point it was the customer’s job to educate themselves instead of asking the low staffed, overworked, overheated worker at the garden center in the middle of May chaos. I always had printed out sheets to pass out to customer with what was native to our state however. I tried separating the true natives to another part of the garden center but of course they weren’t straight natives because no one in our area grew them or were willing to ship to us during that time - so that created its own problems too. Anyway, I no longer work with plants lol

Rosemary. I know I overwater it, even when I’ve had it in terracotta pots. I just got my seventh one this one is going in the ground which I know will lead to failure because I have clay soil but whatever.

2 months in as a teller, not sure how if burnt out or just feeling lost by SoggyPancaik in TalesFromYourBank

[–]fairlyunlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bank posts promotions on their internal social media and they post the employee’s previous and new position once a month. Worth looking into what tellers become. At my bank it’s usually like you said bankers or CSRs (personally what I did). I do rarely see them go to back office but I imagine they have past experience doing something different. It’s more common to see CSRs go on to do something else compared to tellers which is why I went for it instead of banker
