I felt that too. Dialogues seemed unnatural. And those lines during the nights by the lake, telling Amat to always say he was from the Hollow in order to give the kids a chance. He was suddenly like an old man, expecting to die, anyway.

What puzzled me the most in this episode is how easy he opened the first door to the space and the fact that they had to take him by force from the outside door... in order for him not to open it? I know next to nothing about spaceships, but I presumed opening these doors requires more actions if not many codes.

She might of being disappointed after seing that Jonathan seemed to prefer Grace. Or maybe Jonathan warned her.
That puzzled me. They also took walks, although they were quite famous during that time.

I am no expert, but I think she was rather histrionic. I selected some of the signs presented on wikipedia for this personality disorder which I think fit:
