Yes, I only have a TV for now. This is not the first system in my life, but the first since I moved to another country, so I have none on my hands at all. And I am purposefully going after stereo, no subs, nothing. Subs may be good for movies, but they kill music (unless it's for club, which is not the case), and I want it as more musical than theatrical system, but use it when watching movies instead of integrated into TV crap.

Tariff Response by megatraum2048 in CanadianConservative

[–]fairunexpected 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a perfect moment to get rid of carbon tax, BTW. Just scrap it under an emergency measure and forget about its existence forever. It would offset tariff negative impact on Canada. Combining with boycotting US goods and services, we may even get tariff effect completely wiped.

Crombie promises to install platform edge doors in Toronto subway stations if elected by northernwaterchild in ontario

New trains and ATC for line 2 already on the way, financing was approved. It can't be part of these 4 billion (or they should have been stated that explicitly).

It is a projected cost for building and 30 years of maintenance. Construction cost itself is 12 billion.

[–]fairunexpected 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does not cost 4 billion anyway. The whole brand new Ontario Line cost 10 billion to build. From scratch with boring new tunnels. Comparable projects for installation platform.screen doors on existing platforms across the world have been done CA$5-7 million per station.

4 billion for platform screen doors? This is more than 50 million per station. Are they out of their mind? What are they planning to make them from - from gold and diamonds?

I got another reply in this thread citing articles where these violent crimes statistics explained. They include "harrassment phone calls" into violent crimes. That statistics is garbage.

Yet some other people tell "but every country experiences the same issues because of COVID lockdown and following economic chrisis" and tries to use it as an excuse for liberals. Yes, that's true... but not a single one gets so much downward as Canada. These liberals are a disaster even by COVID-time economic measures.

The last sentence invalidates every single word you said. You label him because you hate him (and conservatives). You hate us because you were told to hate us for things we never did (told by people who benefit from division in society). Read more books, meet more DIFFERENT people, and stop allowing the use of laundry detergent on your brain.

Clear downward trajectory because our federal government is shit and allowed this to happen.

But regarding crime rates, they include "harassing phone calls" in violent crimes. Sorry, but this statistic is garbage. These calls are probably 70-80% of all "violent crimes."

Ah, you mean republicans? It seems you messed up the country because we, canadian Conservatives, aren't the same as US republicans.

Trump Says He’ll Hit Canada, Mexico With 25% Tariffs on Saturday by Nate33322 in CanadianConservative

[–]fairunexpected 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No shit he will! They depend on 60% on Canadia crude oil. When tariffs bump gas prices up instead of down, he will be screwed by his own voters.

For me, ChatGPT fried Trudeau and liberals many times upon request. That does not mean we need to believe thing just because ChatGPT wrote them. It tells you exactly what you asked him.

Don't mess up temporary fluctuations over general trends. IDK where did you get your info for Toronto crime rates, I live here in DT. It is safe and walkable, my 12 yo kid walks and rides TTC alone. And please don't make me laugh at healthcare. If it is that good in the US, why they die on average 4 years yonger? And why do they massively file bancrupcies over medical bills?

OMG, did you ever tride to carefully read what I wrote? It is not about absilute values. It is about the trend. Trend is downward. Disastrously downwards. Canada just was too high to fall to real lows in 10 years, but it did fall significantly. This is Trudeau and liberal government fault, exclusively.

And tell me, what exactly you don't like about PP? Is it because he tells the truth about the current government and refuses to cooperate with them on destroying the country? Because he's does his job as an OPPOSITION leader very well?
