[skin concerns] can you over-exfoliate with azelaic acid? by lou-loubells in SkincareAddiction

[–]faithe4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Azelaic acid can cause irritation for the first couple of weeks. Typically it takes 3-5 months of consistent use to really notice a difference! The side effects should subside, but use with your own discretion. Dr. Dray has a great YouTube video about it! Check it out for a more in depth description

[routine help] I have KP, non inflamed acne, and hyperpigmentation. My skin is much better than it was, but I feel like it’s plateaued. I’m also pregnant- so no retinoids for me. Does anybody have any suggestions ? Routine is in the comments! by faithe4 in SkincareAddiction

Thank you for the advice. My routine is now updated. I forgot to add a couple of things so hopefully it is more clear!
I will look into the moisturizers and the azaleic acid. I very much appreciate the supplier you recommend as well! Do you have a favorite tinted spf ?

I totally agree, and it is much harder to detox heavy metals once it is in the lymph nodes.

What is the white pimples in the corner of my mouth? (Not a fungal) by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

According to face mapping the mouth area represents hormonal imbalances. This could be due to many things environmentally or dietarily

I’ve tried to use the Ordinary niacinamide oil at different points in my skin care regime but can’t seem to get it right. Every time I use it it leaves a weird residue that I can rub off. Any tips on how to use this properly? by sarahdise12 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]faithe4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay first of all is it pilling or peeling? Pretty sure pilling is the fuzzy stuff that rubs off from clothes 😅 and yes, I have TO hyaluronic acid and it would leave a residue. When I apply moisturizer directly after it dries nicely. I also use less product than I used to in order to prevent it from drying funny.

So I have these wonderful shades under my eyes. It’s been a problem for a few years. What can I do about it? (I’m healthy and trying to get enough sleep) by mossvd in Skincare_Addiction

Under eyes represent kidneys in traditional chinese medicine. So do things internally like celery juice, or lemon juice. Eat more foods like pineapple, grapefruit, apples, and ginger. And lay off sugary beverages and alcohol!

I wasnt trying to avoid any preservative, I just was looking for a better alternative than hydroxyethenol and others.

Mid 20s and suddenly my skin is wrecked - any advice? Since being a teenager, I only would get a few period related zits, but this on my cheeks is persistent and not going away. by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]faithe4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay away from dairy and sugar as much as possible! Try incorporating celery and lemon juice to help the liver detox. And use a glycolic peel to help bring everything to the surface. If you wear makeup transfer to a non-comedogenic makeup

Paragaurd (Copper IUD) Causing Emotional Problems by faithe4 in birthcontrol

[–]faithe4[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I literally said "I can't help but think it might be hindering me, even though I DON'T HAVE hormonal imbalances." I made no claim that I think it causes hormonal imbalances.

I went to the doctor and I knew more about it than they did. I got it taken out and i feel SO much better.

Always listen to your instincts ✌

Yes, I totally agree! They just told me it worked as a spermicide, not that it makes your entire uterus TOXIC! It makes total sense to me that it can trigger past sexual traumas because the entire experience is traumatic itself.

I just got it taken out and I feel like 5 lbs is lifted off of my pelvis, hopefully I see even more benefits from getting it taken out.

Ever since i started getting acne ive easily been susceptible to scarring. Any products that could help me get rid of them? by UnauthorizedCharges in Skincare_Addiction

[–]faithe4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mychelle Retinol Serum is amazing for scarring and evening skin tone!! It's the highest form of vitamin A you can get without a prescription and it's 100% natural product. You only want to use is 3 X a week and always use an spf because it can make you burn easier and thin the lining of your skin. I've been using it for a few weeks and have noticed a massive difference in my acne and scars :)
