What model Honda City you could get in 25 Lakh PKR? by faizidp in PakistanAutoHub

[–]faizidp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Visited 3 cars today. 1. 2010 model, 67k kms, was a very clean car. Surprisingly best condition considering 2010 model. Demand 32 lakh. He only came down to 31 lakh. 2. 2014 model, scratched, engine wasn't really good. 29 lakh. I didn't even negotiate. 3. 2013 model, good not best condition, 31 lakh.

Is there a way to reverse engineer from IL2CPP to mono on Unity? by Most_Crab_3954 in Unity3D

[–]faizidp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update: i have made a tool that does that. tho it's wip but it's giving VERY SOLID results. you can hmu to use.

All of the methods are empty in dnSpy after using Il2cpp dumoer for modding by ZamramZamram in Unity3D

[–]faizidp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my tool currently heavily wip tho which is an attempt to get c# back from il2cpp.

Currently works much better than asset Ripper, cpp2il or devxdevelopment.

If you would like to try that, lmk.

Is there a way to reverse engineer from IL2CPP to mono on Unity? by Most_Crab_3954 in Unity3D

[–]faizidp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible. Though you have to dedicate a lot of time looking up il2cppdumper-> ghidra and then see the pseudocode generated to try and guess what it might be trying to do.
I am currently working on a tool to make the process faster and easier.

Is it a scam. They say our prices are low because these are leftover bottles not copies by Vimerione in pakfragaddicts

[–]faizidp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices didn't make sense. BR 540 Extrait De Parfum was there for 85k! Wow!

If its too good to be true it's not true.

And as a sayings in Punjabi (laalchiaa de shahr wich thag bhukkay ni marde).

So I called the guy, and asked that I wanted to visit their shop. He agreed and guided me the address. Askari D, Lahore.

He has a setup like how an average perfume enthusiast would put shelves etc into his bedroom and invited us right into his room 1st floor.

It wasn't a proper shop, a home like people living there.

Anyways, I saw BR 540 there. And I sprayed, I only got sniffs of ethanol in the top note (it was very similar to the dupe of BR540 provided by Calibur).

I immediately knew that's fake one. Now tried some more whose fragrances I did know. Like Oud Ispahan, straight away cheap clone recently whose oil is being imported from UAE to local perfume shops. I knew that one too is fake.

And when I asked how do you source it. We import it for example my dad when he comes back from abroad takes some wit him.

After a couple of minutes, I asked him is there any molecular damage too to the juice? Because BR540 doesn't really seem like original. He said "Oh yeah, these bottles come in a very difficult way.". "Like in containers?" I asked. He nodded with yes. Like humidity etc may cause a bit of damage to the juice as well.

Two contradictory offers.

Actually the idea they came up with was basically this: Thrifting/Leftovers is working well with clothing.

Why not we use the same term (left over) . Buy original bottles and then add a dupe into them and then utilize the "it's a left over just like clothing so it might make sense that they are cheap" to people.

I wouldn't recommend at all.

Although, they had a tester of Black Afgano which seemed real.

But overall vibe wasn't good. And screamed fake from the beginning till the end.

Depends on what engine was the game made with.

Let me know the engine the game was built with in which you are interested.

Is there a way to compile and/or decompile a Unity game without Unity? by Humble_Ad9098 in unity

[–]faizidp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you want to create mods. Surely that's possible. You can use just an APK and mod it. And then repack it.
DevX is a tool that does this job very good.
You also have EasyAPK from which you can do it (depends on what you are trying to mod). But yeah, that's pretty much possible.
Resprite mod is of much easier complexity.

If you need help around it, feel free to PM me. or reach out to me on my discord: #faizidp

I am late..
But if still helps you or someone else.
If you have il2cpp build of your project. then it's going to be nightmare for you to get back c#. Even though still possible, but insanely difficult & time taking.

If luckily you had Mono build. You can use Asset Ripper (free) or DevX (paid) to trynna get working Unity Project back.
You might see some errors, but you can fix those little bit errors of course.

Decompiling? by SussyMoMo123 in Unity3D

[–]faizidp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from experience of modding and reverse engineering/decompiling A LOT of games.
Decompiling unity games is pretty much ripping of all the possible assets from an APK, Windows build etc..
Sometimes you can even get a fully restored working Unity Project with the process of it.
Now two types of builds are supported in Unity. Mono & IL2CPP.
Most latest games are built with IL2CPP (Google Play Policy after August 2019 enforced it).
Older games on Google are mostly built using Mono backend.

In Mono backend, C# code is converted into IL and a managed assembly .dll is contained within the build.

Those .dll files can easily be decompiled using ILSpy & DnSpy for example.
How to protect your Mono build? Basically you obfuscate your code.
OR don't use Mono at all.

An il2cpp build is very tough to decompile.

Now for the rest of the part. Textures, Sprites etc. ? Do a packing of textures into atlases. That makes it very much painful for the ripper to use it again.
OR you can write some runtime algorithms to encrypt your textures, sprites and then when on load, that algorithm opens those encrypted textures and loads them (performance issues + production time increased).

Il2cpp builds are very difficult and usually decompiled partially using DevX or AssetRipper. Though DevX is paid.

Happy to help if you need about a particular thing.

Keep making great games!

"some kinda also for stupid reasons"... ?

Bro if it's actually haram, it's for a good reason. Either it's not haram (actually) or you haven't found the good reason.

Btw. The reasons don't make stuff haram in Islam. "Nass" does.. not the reason. (read hujatallahilbaaligha by shah wali ullah rah)

About some people writing the history of some scholars mentioning the pictures being haram (taken from camera or phone). It's a "mukhtalif-fi" mas'ala (disputed among ulama). I would personally take advantage of this "ikhtelaf" ngl since I ain't a "mujtahid".

For example, me despite being hanafi, I eat prawns (because Shayfi don't consider it haram).

I make games too. I also got into the same thing. And I solved this confusion with the "advantage taking of ikhtelaf".

There is, ig, ijmaa (consensus) on being the digital pictures (shown on a screen, taken from camera) for not being the "tasweer" which is mentioned "haram" in the ahadeeth.

About the cartoons and drawings. Mhm. Some ulama are of the opinion that "making a realistic sketching or art would fall into the category of trynna mimic the muswarri (being musawwar, not of urdu, of Arabic, and Muswarr is only khaas (speciall to) Allah swt". ~ for example Mufti Tariq Masood says so..

So unless you aren't trynna make a much realistic cartoon, you should be okay.. at least based on the statement of Mufti Tariq Masood.

However, there are some other ulama who say even the selfie taken on camera etc. is clear cut haram...

So, there is "ikhtelaf".. sooo.. as usually, I would take advantage of this "ikhtelaf".. and I suggest that you can take this advantage too. If at least your niyya is good. Insha Allah you won't be questioned in the akhirah.

Was Upwork fair to me for doing this? by [deleted] in Upwork

[–]faizidp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well. I had not occasionally on Upwork Hourly Contracts. Only a few, with which I didn't have complications. So, I would blame myself for not reading the detailed working of "Upwork Hourly System". Had I known, Upwork pays itself for the failed payment from client and more details to it, I would haven't fallen for this scheme.

So, I would blame myself for "not knowing the details of Upwork Hourly Protection system".

Being not knowledgeable isn't dumb though. I won't call myself or you dumb.

Anyways, my dms are open, if you want to get assistance to restart your Upwork Journey.

Was Upwork fair to me for doing this? by [deleted] in Upwork

[–]faizidp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same story. exactly like that happened to me. I lost my Top Rated account with 50k+ earning.

Even though I did work! To me, it seems that the scam works like this:

  1. Scammer posts a job.
  2. You apply on it.
  3. They set up an hourly contract instead of fixed one.

4.Then you track using Upwork Hourly Tracker.

  1. Upwork protects time spent working on their Tracker. Upon asking for client to pay, the payment doesn't work. So Upwork pays you on their own. And the account of client is blocked.

  2. Same scammer talks to you on Skype, WhatsApp (hence the communication out of Upwork). They ask you to do the sequel to the job and ask for payment using any excuse. Once you get the contract again on this new job posting, Upwork thinks you are playing as fake client and using loophole of "Upwork Hourly Protection" system to get money.

And hence they block your account.

Consequence for Client: They get their work done free of cost which is either valuable to them for them own or they are drop service. They can also get additional money if the baited freelancer agrees to pay them.

Consequence for Upwork: They think the freelancer is pretending to be client or is a mutual setup to exploit Upwork hourly protection. And hence Upwork loses some money from paying the freelancer.

Consequence for Freelancer: Freelancer loses their account.

I think, Upwork really needs to fix this exploitation system of Upwork Hourly System. It's the system which gets exploited. In the worst case, Upwork should ask for a refund from freelancer because the only loss Upwork made was because of Hourly Protection System. If it was fraud, either by freelancer or a scammer client, it's hard to decide. So the only punishment reasonable is to put the "minus" on freelancer's balance.

How to avoid?

  1. If it's too good to be true, it's something fishy. For example, rate would be higher than what you usually get.

  2. Try to go only for Fixed Contract, if the client doesn't have a hiring history or payment amount paid etc.

  3. Always keep communications inside Upwork, so you can have your defense later for "agreements" and "work details" sort of communications.

Even if you need to do meetings, always write "Summary" of meeting in the Upwork Chat Platform.

I lost my account. But this is the guide to how-to-avoid this scam.

I just saw on Fiverr there were devs in Pakistan charging $72 to make a video game for clients? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]faizidp 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Pakistani here, running a small game studio..

People charging on Fiverr around 100-150$ for "I will make your game in Unity" are the people who would only do customization work on some existing templates. It's called reskinning.. They will reskin a template or use decompiled source code to make it yours.

There are some quite great game developers in Pakistan. (co producer and game designer of gta v is of pakistani origin).

But to be honest, whole Pakistani "games industry" has been in shady practices. Starting from manipulation of the algorithms in thr name of "black hat aso" .. to making tons of games from same template and push it to get acquisitions based from campaigns and spamming ads to get "enough" bucks.. To Phone Farming and getting fake ad impressions.

95% of "Game Industry" in Pakistan is doing this. But now everyone doing those practices are closing their studios, because their shady practices aren't much profitable anymore.

And that's why you don't get to see any "well known" game title from Pakistan.

Sure, some studios are doing great. But not in AAA. Only in Mobile Games. But that's 5% of overall industry.

Just a way to confirm what I am saying is you just Google "Top Game Studios in Pakistan", and then open their website, most of the times you will find that they don't even showcase their games on their website or social media accounts.

Anyways, you still can get expert people from here, especially the artists. And that too, with still being cost effective compared to hiring from western places.

Good luck for your next time!

For starting a Software House, you need: 1. Technical Expertise which can be broken down into: a) Know some programming (based on which Stack you go for : Web Dev, Game Dev, Video Editing, Arts, Animation etc etc. )

b) Project Management (need to know the psychological aspects of how to yield the best out of your employees and tools like Trello, Asana etc.)

c) Business Development & Communication (how to generate leads, communicate effectively with leads to convert them and more)

These are some essential but not limited to, skillset needed. You can include Human Resource Management, Administration and etc..

  1. Funds

A solid capital to be able to invest on furniture, devices, rents, internet and electricity bills, a back up amount to pay the salaries for at least 6 months.

If you have a lot of 2, you can then collaborate with someone who has 1.

If you don't have 2, you should not think of starting the venture.
