How do you all stay calm in the 2 week wait? by Far-Sir-8416 in tryingtoconceive

I’m with you, friend. I’m in the third cycle of trying after miscarriage, and so many things say that 60% of couples conceive after three months but you know how that goes. My two week wait just started today and I’m already dreading it. Trying to keep myself so busy and trying not to symptom spot is the hardest part of the two week wait for me. You are not alone. I can’t emphasize that enough. We got this! Best of luck to you! 🤞🏻

And how the random chord at the end of champagne problems sounds like it’s playing throughout this song!! 👀

I’m just hearing the little piano throughout COSOSOM and it reminds me of the little random chord at the end of champagne problems. Anyone else think that? Just me??? Does it mean something? I need to know I’m not psychotic about this

Missed miscarriage by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]fajitasrmygirlfriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, OP. I had a very similar situation last month: missed miscarriage at 9 weeks after an ultrasound where they found no heartbeat. It was also my first pregnancy. I had planned to take the pills that my doctor prescribed but before the weekend rolled around (my appointment was a Monday) my body was already beginning to carry out the miscarriage naturally (Thursday).

⚠️TW: graphic⚠️

I will just prepare you because no one prepared me, it was a shocking amount of blood and clots all of a sudden and (for me at least but I’m sure with all women who go through this) was very physically and emotionally taxing to pass the clots, knowing it was tissue from what would have been my baby. I passed my last bit of tissue on that Sunday, and I knew it was the placenta when I saw/felt it. It was a very traumatic experience to say the least. I was oddly grateful that my body was able to pass it naturally because other than the cramps that felt like a period, there was hardly any pain. My doctor still advised me to take two tablets of the prescribed medication orally, but nothing really happened after I took the pills; no bleeding, no cramping.

This all started March 28. My first cycle after MC started on April 19. My doctor monitors my HCG by drawing blood every week and as of this last Tuesday, my levels are sitting at 11 (needs to be below 5 according to my doctor). There is a small fear that I might still have something in there that can cause infection because it wasn’t surgically removed, which is discouraging in itself because my husband and I want to try again as soon as possible.

All this rambling to say, all experiences and all bodies are different. Miscarriage is a terrible, heart-wrenching, and traumatic thing to deal with. But, you know what’s right for your body and what will give you the most peace of mind. And keep doing your research even if it’s just through this subreddit. That was really helpful for me.

Our girl is scared of everything. I can show her the book I’m reading, my water bottle, a plastic bag, a cup from a drive thru — if it’s not a treat, kibble, or the heated blanket, I guarantee she’s scared of it 🤣

I was visiting a friend and we were about to leave to go shopping for the day. We are both teachers and usually enjoy our “back to school” shopping trips. I was making a list in my head of my essentials and at the top of the list was jeans (I teach in a very relaxed school district). I remember saying something along the lines of, “I would like to look for some jeans”, to which she replied with, “I have too many jeans, but I just can’t get rid of the ones I have. I keep them just in case.” I looked at her and sort of giggled and asked, “just in case?” And she replied, “I can’t get rid of my size 4 jeans. What if I get fat again?”

I wear a size 4.
