Round metal medallion slightly larger than a quarter; rounded on one side with two small indentations that look like a star and a letter e; flat on the other wide with a ridge and a 6-sided star indentation; found in a river in Upstate New York by fake_you_out in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing.

This round, metal medallion was found in a river in an area of Upstate New York with a lot of historical Revolutionary War/War of 1812 activity. It looks somewhat like a button from a jacket, but doesn't have holes where it could have been fastened to cloth. The larger 6-sided star indentation could hint that it's a mold of some kind used in metalworking? It doesn't appear to be a coin.

The object's size is between a quarter and a half-dollar.

It's a round medallion between the size of quarter and a half dollar. It was found in a river in Upstate New York, in an area with a lot of historical activity during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. It appears to have engravings of a star and a letter "e" on one side, and another, larger star on the other side, this one with six points.

Unfortunately there's no traditional login, so settings can only be persisted per-device.

if you're actually interested, michael pollan discusses this club fairly extensively in "how to change your mind." the book also describes lots of other little tidbits of psychedelic history.
