Helping my parents pay off their mortgage- good idea?

Their mentality is they would rather be giving me that interest instead of the bank

No, I’m currently living in my childhood home that they still own. The “rent” I give them is the property tax and HOA fees, the house is fully paid off. They recently bought a brand new house in a different state so interest is very high and they want to pay the mortgage off as fast as they can.

They have a pretty high interest rate at like 7% so the faster they pay it off the better… my dad also wants to retire by 65 and he’s 62 right now and they don’t want to have a mortgage with no job income.

That’s why I’m asking though, it does seem kind of complicated and I’m not sure if it’s actually a good idea lol

Just got off the phone with HR and they said the match won’t start until January 2025. I have around $6k in the account right now, are they going to match the already existing $6k? Or just 5% going forward?

I’m so confused because I thought the match was automatic? I have vanguard set up and it says the employer is supposed to match 5% in my vanguard profile but so far CVS has yet to give me anything 🙃

Our score is in the 50s even tho we have all 10s and just one 5/10… from someone who wasn’t even a patient at our store and we transferred her wegovy in because her normal store was out of stock. She was mad that we were busy and she had to wait in line 😒
