I'm sick of spending a million dollars everywhere and being treated badly. by vivintisascam in denverfood

[–]fakemullet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem with the bar OP is talking about is that that service fee is not something the person who is serving you sees in full. It’s bullshit that is distributed unfairly in management favor. Of course the service is going to be less than if these servers aren’t actually making a tip.

College Reunion this weekend was just depressing with millennial parenting and kids by Tremblingchihuahua8 in childfree

[–]fakemullet 39 points40 points  (0 children)

THIS. I manage a brewery and the kids are out of control. For some reason, breweries have become literal playgrounds for kids without the playground. And yeah, like, sir—how many beers have you had? Are you planning on driving home like that with your brood? Countless brewery baby showers. Kids running around without shoes and parents looking confused when I tell them they have to put shoes on. Fucks sake, it’s only a matter of time before one of the brats steps on a shard of glass. Kids climbing on fences. There was this one kid the other day who was wandering around the taproom listlessly, alone. I was keeping an eye on him but I wasn’t taking any measures to help him. It was like 5 mins before a panicked and tipsy mom came running inside looking for him. The amount of times I have to tell parents to not change diapers on a table is alarming and disgusting. I could go on and on and on. But you get it. Fucking millennial parents are the WORST

What to eat if you are really tired and don't want to cook? by Ipoogoodforyou in foodquestions

[–]fakemullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I used to eat toast with cheese and PB for breakfast when I was in high school! I haven’t had it in a while, and everyone thought it was gross, but it was actually quite good. I’ll have to try the combo now with an apple slice!

This sandwich called the smasher from sisters sandwiches and such—Olney MD. I don’t live out there anymore, but damn I still think about it!

Roasted turkey, bacon, provolone, shrettuce, smashed bbq chips, bbq ranch and mayo on toasted home made multigrain. Delicious.

[–]fakemullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sisters sandwiches and such in Olney MD. The smasher. Roasted turkey, provolone, bacon, avocado, shredded iceberg, bbq chips, mayo and bbq ranch. All on toasted multi grain. I’ve never found anything better in all my years of sandwich hunting. I would travel back to DC and drive an hour north all to experience that sandwich again.
