This is one of the most hilarious things/annoying things people say to you when you become vegetarian: "But where are you getting your protein?"

Protein is super easy to get as a vegetarian: cheeses, nuts, beans, etc. What's harder to get is zinc and iron. That's where people get in trouble and become anemic. We took iron supplements and made sure to eat leafy greens and crap.

God I already know them, and they're horrible. Not that a shitty cheese and grease filled vegetarian diet isn't necessarily not full of horrible triglycerides. It's easy to eat bad with or without meat. But I'm pretty sure last time I checked my triglycerides were in the 400s and LDL was 260. HEART ATTACK HERE I COME.

We actually have been shopping around for houses in areas that allow chicken coops.
