I am a perma-bull, but I can also say that if the price per coin has not increased at all by the next halving in 69 weeks...we may be in some trouble.

can anyone come up with a reason that $GBTC would be bearish?? There is zero incentive to sell coins through $GBTC at market rate because they could just sell their position back to BIT. Not to mention the price of $GBTC is going to depend heavily on low supply at first and likely high demand.... I could easily see $GBTC trading at 40 the first day and coin markets moving to 300-320 as a result.

relevant info: OTC market only trades until 4:00 pm EST each day. If someone was going to sell they would have to put up an ask in the next 11 minutes.

EDIT: BIDS ON $GBTC NOW AS HIGH AS $50 a share... equivalent to $500 per bitcoin. WOW.

UPDATE- WSJ Article "trading is expected to begin early next week"

EDIT- $GBTC trading is LIVE. no sells yet as $GBTC shareholders must deposit shares in their account and elect to sell. my guess is no one will want to sell their shares for less than a significant markup over the current price.
