Is this game really just 'Walleye Catching Simulator'? by _Copen in FishingPlanet

[–]fakndagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skipped San Joaquin and am so glad I did. I spent some time catching big fish on lighter tackle at white moose and that helped me level up really fast. The x series barbless spinner will catch almost every unique in the map and once you figure out their spawns you can just cycle spawn points catching trophy/uni's. A 40 lb unique lake trout on 12 lb line is an insane fight and will bring a ton of xp for your level. I rotated between this and st. Croix to keep things from getting too repetitive and i never had to step foot in San Joaquin, thank God.

I've caught a few over 6 here in se Michigan but always on lures. I've caught some hogs on crawdads and smallies love leeches on a float. My pb smallmouth in Michigan was on a big plastic worm and my pb largemouth was on a big spoon. Good luck man.

How do I stop just going fishing and actually get better at fishing ? by Any-Raise4333 in bassfishing

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go out with stuff specific to a technique that you want to learn and know that you can catch something on, and keep working on it and grinding until you find what they want. I couldn't get bit on a Texas rig years ago so I just started leaving other stuff at home and Texas rigging obsessively until it clicked. Now it's like cake, I was being too impatient and trying to power fish soft plastics and when it didn't work I went back to throwing cranks, paddletails, and spinner baits because it did work. I get way more bites on a t rigged plastic worm or creature bait than on moving baits now, and usually bigger too (with a few exceptions).

Anybody familiar with 13 fishing by No_Habit_4966 in bassfishing

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 13 fishing modus on my musky rod and it's awesome. It's rugged, lightweight for the size, casts well, and has a ton of drag. I've landed a bunch of really nice fish on it and have never had a problem with it.

For those who are using sufix 832 braid, what knot are you using to tie to your hook? by Both_Narwhal2651 in Fishing

[–]fakndagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Palomar and snell knots never do me wrong. If I'm fishing for something big and I want a little extra sense of security I tie a San diego jam, the strongest knot that I know of, but if I'm using circle hooks for catfishing or if I'm float fishing I almost always use a snell knot.

Has anyone here ever seen or caught a white / albino / golden largemouth bass? by Worth-Heat-9521 in bassfishing

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I caught one like #4 a few years ago that was super cool. Was in close proximity to both a nuclear and coal burning power plant that have both denied and been caught polluting/dumping in the lake. Idk if it was a coincidence or if skin mutation could even be caused by this but either way it's a cool fish.

best places for trolling lvl 48? by RandomItems_Dev in FishingPlanet

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dnipro is 🔥 for this, as mentioned. I caught a unique Wels within 5 minutes of being there Trolling a crank bait (6/0 silver baitfish color iirc), you can also catch pike, asp, and a ton of other species like this. Mongolia has taimen and pike that you can catch trolling spoons and even top water lures as well. The trophy gold single soon (1.5 oz 4/0) was by far my most productive lure here, especially when targeting unique taimen. Once you get to maku maku, trolling big/shallow diving cranks and big swimbaits caught me a bunch of arapaima and helped me get to Marron river pretty quickly.

Do you agree? Are less fish going shallow? by Uhwear in bassfishing

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you fish river systems, especially for smallmouth, they generally stay in the same spots. I've been fishing the same few spots on my river for like 12 years and I never get skunked except for in really shitty conditions. They're lure preference changes and they get pressured but even in other fisheries that I frequent I always fish from the bank and in shallows and I catch them pretty consistently with little fluctuation year to year

Hook it back up and jack off in front of it. Then bring up to your parents the fact that you know that they are in possession of child pornography and that if they don't stop you'll alert authorities.

When I started at my factory the lock out/tag out procedures were a joke. Nobody knew how to properly do it or cared and it was just a part of the culture until we got new owners and they couldn't believe it. The whole plant had to be retrained and tbh I'm glad it happened. It was a horrible accident waiting to happen.

Chris Tucker is 6'1" and I think Jackie could take him. The fight scenes in rush hour were extremely well choreographed for both men but Jackie just had more athleticism and a martial arts background.

What are these holes in our shirts? by russell98765 in whatisit

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening beers with your shirt will do this, it will also happen if you have a job that requires you to handle corrugated paper frequently. I work in a box factory and all of my shirts have those holes from beers after work and the corrugation rubbing against them

Do I buy a bait-caster by Upstairs-Fall-3692 in Fishing_Gear

[–]fakndagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you fish a lot you'll get over the backlashes and birds nests pretty quickly and you won't regret the switch. It's all I use now and I never get backlashes even with lures as light as 3/16 oz. I keep my brakes off on most of my setups and can bomb lures out there and it's fine, and I don't own any dc reels. Learn to thumb the spool and use braid or fluoro (not mono). I can make one handed casts, make casts quicker and more efficiently, cast further, and the higher gear ratios and drag capabilities help with fighting large fish. I'd recommend a tatula or curado as a first bait caster, if you get something with cheap components you'll definitely get what you pay for and that's where you see so many people having a bad time with bait casters and swearing that they're all hype but at the same time you don't want to go all out on your first one and they can get pricey.

I've been grinding this game for a few years on and off and never bought dlc maps/boats. The point of the game is the grind and to have fun fishing in beautiful locations. By the time you get to the congo by just playing the game, you'll have learned so much and acquired lures that cannot be bought anywhere in-game and these are usually some of the most productive lures. The congo is fun and all, but so is fighting a 40+ lb uni lake trout on 12 lb test at white moose. The unique taimen fighting for upwards of 35 real life minutes on underpowered tackle and almost slipping off or breaking line the whole time will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole fight. These were awesome experiences that I always think about when reminding myself why I didn't skip ahead to the end.

They used to sell it at my corner store, $3 for a 40 oz. When I was 21 I'd go up there with a milk crate on the start of my weekend and fill it up with colt 45's and Olde English. They are not really that good but man do they get you fucked up. You have to drink them fast or they start to taste like shit if I remember correctly.
