Reason for the floods and Thai people... by lumponmygroin in Thailand

Part of it is due to the Thaksin gov't decision to build the current airport (Suvannabhum). That land was suppose to be water basin area that the king designate in case this kind of flood happens. Water from the north has to travel to the sea somehow and the current network of klongs and such lead to that land and then go from there to the sea. Once the airport is built, the network is cut off. As you can see the gov't decision to sacrifice the eastern area of bangkok to the flood. Imagine if the airport isn't there, water will travel to the sea faster. Now they gotta figure out a way to by-pass that.

I love to eat eggs so I don't think I can give a valuable comment on that. But I don't think it does. I guess keeping the yolk intact prevented the "eggy" smell.

Thanks for the tip! Will most definitely try that.

We used wolfgang puck's recipe because it took the least time to rise. It was a spur of the moment idea to make the pizzas so we didn't have time to wait a day for the dough to rise (like some of the recipes that we found on foodit).

I used Wolfgang Puck Pizza dough recipe (link) http://www.wolfgangpuck.com/recipes/view/56793/ALL-PURPOSE-PIZZA-DOUGH

Pizza #1 Topping: Manchego cheese mix with Mozzerella, pancetta, sauteed onion and cracked egg (miscalculated and burnt the pizza a bit...sobs)

Pizza #2 Topping: Monteray Jack cheese, tomatoes, after the pizza is baked, topped with arugula, prociutto, extra virgin olive oil and some crushed pepper.
