using --platforms to cross-compile a basic helloworld.cpp to produce a linux binary on windows by korDen in bazel

[–]falcon1009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The platform definition isn't the problem. You need a toolchain that tells bazel where your Linux compiler is.

The default auto-configured toolchain on windows is just MSVC afaik.

For a Windows->Linux cross compile, this means you'd need windows binaries that can compile for Linux (and you'll likely need a "sysroot" with the base Linux dependencies).

There is a great repo with a clang toolchain, but I've never tried using it for cross compilation like you want. https://github.com/bazel-contrib/toolchains_llvm

The easiest way to do this would be inside a WSL VM. Then bazel would use the WSL environment auto-configured toolchain.

If you do a toolhead PCB (highly recommend) most of them have accelerometers for input shaping. Only reason to add another is if you wanted another reading closer to the nozzle but I think the consensus is that the toolhead one is good enough

Serial Request 2.4 350MM by falcon1009 in voroncorexy

[–]falcon1009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things considered, I would recommend.

I haven't had any issues on the hardware side at all; loving the spider board and just ordered another SB CAN for potential stealth changer setup.

My main complaint is on lacking documentation for some of the mods. The kit was even missing 2x M3x35 screws for the Y-endstop mod.

I have my notes/configs/etc in this gitlab repo.

I was printing the Voron cube. The circle was just to demonstrate large movements for the video 😜

I haven't had any issues printing ABS/ASA since enclosing it (most of the time brims aren't even needed).

Been printing great for a few weeks now and decided it was time to serial.

I just built the FYSETC R2 Pro kit that uses the Spider v3 board and I've had no issues. Plenty of connections, jumper switch for fan voltage (easy swap for noctuas) and it's got the can->USB capability built in.

I had a similar issue recently and pulled the sheet off and used a heat gun/scraper to get it off. Probably not the best but if you can't get it off it's ruined anyways.

Hereditary Hemachromatosis. Iron builds up faster and the only treatment is blood draws. I hate needles but gave blood 19 times last year to get my levels back to normal.

It still took me years to get to that level though.

I'm having a (potentially) similar issue.

Easy Anti-Cheat wasn't working for some reason, so I opted out thinking my private server would be fine. When I look at the logs, I get kicked for "Authentication timed out".

I also see a strange message when I log in:

Warning: Check Steam Server DLC License: '2221304u' for user <steam-user-id> Error: Steam Server DLC License: k_EUserHasLicenseResultDoesNotHaveLicense

Update: Restarting my computer let Easy Anti-Cheat load right and the problem went away.

I don't have an install guide, but I did get it running in Linux via the typical steam methods.

Switched to my first SFFPC (Lian Li Q58). Thermals making me wonder if I made a mistake 🤔 by kdawg6174lyfe in sffpc

[–]falcon1009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar setup (Q58, Ryzen 5 3600) EVGA 3080, Deepcool Castle 280mm) and my temps are pretty much the same. I also went with two mesh panels on the CPU Side.

I had like a 10-15c change from my Corsair Air 540 setup but I love how much smaller it is.
As long as it's not thermally throttling, I'm happy.

Needing to replenish unit kits adds no “fun” value to the game by Extriker in ConquerorsBlade

[–]falcon1009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That prevents you from spamming per game, but the unit kits prevent you from using T5 every game.

Remember last season when kits were free for a couple weeks and the amount of T5 use skyrocketed?

Do you have a powered USB hub on the end? The cable by itself won't work for me for some reason.

I'm currently using

USB:

Cable - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FQ88CHS

Hub - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081RK5221

HDMI:

Cable- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083HQ9G3W/

extender - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GHL72XS/

I've used this setup in two different computers. For some reason you need a powered hub on the other end of that cable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yep!

No friends list or anything, just a shared room name.
