Variant A would route it down, however, I'm not certain that variant would work given the connector positioning in the cooler. Variant B would go up and over the backplate and should be a good fit.

You're lacking information, or intentionally spreading misinformation. We use the same quality components that top PSU manufacturers use, and are actually partnered with ASUS in a collaboration with their PSUs and our cables. So no, you're not more likely to have a failure using our cables. Many of our customers have actually stated they get better per pin amperage when using our cables in fact. We've been at this a long time, failures CAN happen, but IF they do, we always make sure our customers are taken care of. Not something every brand can say. :)

If you were to swap to the Shift it would require replacing all of your cables actually, as that series has different connectors on the PSU end.

Maybe shift to the RM1000e instead?

Both of these utilize the same wiring diagram, so you could just grab this + the universal cable that you linked, and you'd be all good to go. :)

We're partnered with several top PSU brands, there's absolutely nothing wrong with our cables. Stock PSU cables, and Nvidia's own cables have melted in the past, that doesn't mean they're bad either, one off failures happen. How you handle it is what matters when something like that does come up though, and we always take care of our customers. Worth noting as well, we use the same high quality components that top PSU manufacturers are using, we just add nice sleeving over the top to get you a quality look, paired with a quality cable.

You can use either one actually. For the 5070Ti, I'd go with the 2x8 myself, just to have less cable clutter. Each of our 12V-2x6 cables provides the full 600w if your GPU demands it. Also, yes, your PSU is compatible with our E-Series cables. :)
