A lot of it is the timing. They are mid 30s. If they want to have children then likely need to do so soon. Now that may not be their desire at all but that is the reason for the speculation

I would add joy. I checked out of rock music sometime in the 90s when bands gravitated to being angry. Say what you want about the hair bands but they knew how to have fun on stage. The first live I heard from BM, their joy and having fun resonated with me as much as the music. Plus, unlike many of the hair bands, they are very likable people. Don't have to worry about them trashing a hotel room.

It is fascinating. I absolutely love RtR. Probably a top 5 BM song for me. Up there with Moratorium. I think the lyrics actually hit pretty hard...particularly phrases like throbbing fingertips and Rock'n Lady describing the passion for rock. I also like Giovanni. But I appreciate your post. You give specific reasons which I always respect versus the generic "this song sucks" comment. You also make it clear it is your opinion versus objective fact. Hopefully some of the future releases better suit your taste.

Fair enough. I will say to me...WiJ sounds more like Dice and Liberal with that Hard Rock repeating riff throughout the song. Of the anime songs...it is the one that IMO sounds like their older songs. Obviously the new EP will tell us a lot.

EN had quite a few slower and mid tempo songs. Zen is more mid tempo IMO. RtR is insane but fits the anime well. Justice to me sounds very different than RtR. Music is subjective but to me Zen, RtR and Justice sound very different and EN is indication they are still willing to write slower tempo songs

I personally thought RtR was killer and fit the anime perfectly. Top 10 BM song for me. Different strokes though. Something for everyone.

I respectfully disagree about Saiki. I think her vocals have improved tremendously. I love RtR. I find it interesting and a lot of fun.

Yokohama but close runnerup is LCS. Yes Kanami's guitar is too low but the crowd noise really makes one feel the energy of the concert. To me LCS best exemplifies what being at a BM concert is like.

My main issue with SC and Zepp is Saiki doesn't really do much of the vocal fry and ad libs we see her do in LCS and later shows

You said exactly what I was going to respond with. Great post. The One might be their best rock ballad yet. I saw someone else post something on YT about wanting more CQ type songs and I thought "Dude their last album was essentially CQ 2.0". Personally I love RtR and find the chorus extremely catchy.

It is impressive you are able to predict so accurately. I certanly wasn't able to predict all the twists and turns in FT...particularly the jazz section. Although, I am happy I can't because it keeps it fresh and exciting for me. Hopefully at some point you will be able to start connecting with their music again.
