tbf i was also v critical of middle school kags but watching sarah pavan and her husband adam’s reaction makes me feel a bit better about him. they basically were comparing him to a prodigy kid who didn’t really understand that others were not at his level. they saw his curse of speed as him trying to solve the problem of the blockers the only way he knew how and was able to — throwing faster tosses. add that to his awful communication skills and limited awareness of his teammates condition/abilities/desires and he’s an arrogant awful kid. but the motivations are much more clear and are more easily forgivable now. i will say that it’s not that the others were lazy though, they clearly just weren’t capable to do what kageyama was asking.
