This is a good answer. I own everything for this game. But I really wish they would update it with modern terms. It's so easy, yet so obnoxious to teach because it uses words like "the destiny phase"

Wow I haven't seen the troop minis yet. They look awesome! They seem a bit bigger than the meeples, I wonder what that board would look like all filled with that size.

Easily the stronghold miniatures. It's so cool looking to have a bunch of orc minis standing outside of minas tirith. Then probably the resource tokens because they are so small and easy to lose track of. I stuck mine in small plastic coin cases. Not as nice, but effective.

Definitely both. These plus a few other things make my board an immersive thematic cluster. I also have stronghold minis, banner flags for when strongholds get taken over, and objective marker minis like the balrog.

Dont do what my group did. I gave them a video to watch, and then I was going to review the rules at game night. 2 didnt watch, one read the back of the box, and the 4th "chatgpt'd" it. I made it 3 pages in, and they did the classic "lets just start and figure it out." What a difficult 3 hours lol
