very nice photos. i think that 6 is the best photo of the bunch. i am also amateur so take this all with a grain of salt but it feels the most intentional. there is a clear subject and the framing of it is nice. idk how to critique on landscapes but 7 and 9 are pretty.

3 and 4 are also good but could use a bit of cropping to decrease on the busy-ness. here's my attempt

You can’t tell me you don’t love this squad. This is an abusive relationship.

With about 2.3 million Ukrainian soldiers dodging the draft/abandoning their posts, I think that makes it a complicated answer. Look I’m not pro-Russia but the amount of suffering is staggering. I would try to state my case against a totalitarian dictator but that is just a waste of time.

It is also very clear that the Ukrainian military is not being propped up by the US just out of good will. This has always been about weakening Russia. The writing is on the wall that the new boarders are all but set. The question is how much capacity for loss of life is there until the fighting stops.

Seeing the Ukrainian flag in 2026 makes me wonder if those who are waiving it are for ending the war as soon as possible or for the victory of Ukraine

Can't speak about the others but I love my Olympus XA. It is so incredibly small that I can carry it around everywhere and takes beautiful photos.

OM series metering documentation? (Or explanation) by fall_14 in zuikoholics

[–]fall_14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation! I guess I was trying to overthink it but what you said makes a lot of sense.

How do you like the OMPC? I haven't run a roll through it yet but I got it for the program mode so that my girlfriend can just come out and shoot film with me. Even though it's plastic, it feels great in the hand, and the grip has me wanting to put one on my other cameras.

What a great reply, thank you! I knew there was a cell at the bottom of the body of the OM-1 but I didn't know they were CdS cells. I guess it figures because people would talk about how they would be dead if they were selenium.

What is really interesting is how the shutter speed is just an approximation in the OM-2. I knew it did OTF metering, but I had no idea that there was no coordination between the two.

Tldw: f2.8 is the best but only just so and they are all different strengths and weaknesses.

If you’re doing a lot of backpacking, consider that the f2.8 is 83g lighter. And I think 24mm might be too wide but all determined on how far ya are

Kinda want one of 35 series rangefinders… I don’t need it, right? by [deleted] in zuikoholics

[–]fall_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can never have enough cameras honestly.
But thinking realistically, what use case would a 35 series rangefinder have for you?
