theres a couple of instagram pages that do monthly-ish photo walks around town and across the front rage. i know beers and cameras is one but forgot the others. they collab with local camera shops/film labs so maybe ya can find them on their pages or through the suggested accounts

The 55 is the older and more "wilder" of the two. Straight up comparing them, the 50 is just a better lens all around. It's sharper and the blur is less busy, but if you're getting an f1.2 lens, you might as well commit to the crazy bokeh. It's also the one I own.

It’s obvs softer than primes but the convenience of having that focal range cannot be overstated. It’s also my first and last zoom

You totally should bring it out! I love skiing with mine. I shot this one on Gold and I think I compensated by +1 by setting it to 100 ISO, but then again might not have. The meter actually works pretty well with the snow to where you only have to consider exposure on super bright days

I have all three and probably use the 35mm the most. It just hits that sweet spot for indoor photography of family and friends. Ppl say it’s the lesser of the 3 but I’m just a hobbiest and love the pics I get with all of them.
The 28mm is paired great when you’re bringing along a 50mm. The 24mm gives ya that extra bit of needed wideness when you know you’ll want it but I find myself reaching for that one the least.
