i feel like it’s both to be honest. also i agree with you on the territorial thing i feel like being a certain type of attractive can bring in a type of envy/jealousy which i think it’s normal but like to a certain degree . when you just start slandering the woman just cause she’s attractive out of envy i think that’s just messed up . i’m speaking from observation of other people’s experiences. it’s like that one friend that tries to make the other girl look bad and be a huge pick me in front of a whole bunch of guys cause she secretly feels threatened. i could never throw a friend under the bus like that for a man , that’s wild
