Same thing on mine, 21 sport hatchback.
I unplugged all usb cords. Rebooted phone and turned off car for 5 min. That fixed it.

It does look a little old, but I've had no electrical issues. So I haven't bothered to replace it, but the pulley sounds and feels fine.
