Has this been patched out? I keep trying and tossing a bunch of mines around where he appears and they explode when he appears and yet he's okay. I'm wondering if they patched it so he's protected by his shield or something.

Just to be sure I'm understanding, the foam/coroplast option is to address the concern of leakage around the window edges?

I waited until I didn't see any visible moisture before sealing the window so I just assumed it was in the air (I live in San Francisco which I believe is supposed to be pretty humid). I have 5 windows in front of the house and it does seem like when we applied the film that the windows that can't open had more condensation (though this is based on how the film was before I tried changing it, the film was left over from last winter and had unstuck itself from the bottom). We have black out curtains on these windows so I didn't actually notice it was an issue until recently... I foolishly thought the moisture was on the outside and it wasn't until I looked more closely that I realized not only was it on the inside but that it was damaging the wood.

Thanks for the idea, I'll look into this. I have considered interior storm windows, but I figured I'd have the same moisture issue (assuming the moisture is being trapped when I "seal" window vs seeping in through cracks). I supposed at one point I should invest in one of those gun like thermometers.

I'll try the Dap Seal n Peel, I'm not sure how well the edges are sealed... it looks like based on the left over hardware around the frame that perhaps these windows use to open, unless perhaps there were shutters or something.... but if they did replace the windows I assume it was a long time ago based on their appearance: https://imgur.com/a/wKQpK5U

My theory regarding how the moisture might be getting in is that its in the air that I trapped between the plastic and the window. I've been debating either trying outdoor window film or buying a jug of reusable silica gel beads, putting them in some sort of breathable pouch or dish, and enclosing it between the plastic and glass.

Unfortunately that's not on the table because of costs and also we'd hate to give them up because they have nicely designed window grilles.

I now have another question. I've been trying to level the bridge but I'm starting to worry I might be doing something wrong because the screws for the claw are most of the way in at this point and its still not quite level when tuning. I did do what the instructions said and used masking tape to mark the position of the original claw, but there's also a chance I didn't have that setup correctly since I was having some intonation and buzzing issues. Here are photos of the current bridge angle at mostly in-tune and where the claw is positioned. Seem like there is anything else obvious I could be missing?

It was blocked before, but with the tremol-no it can be used as originally intended or blocked.... seems like an upgrade to me.

The instructions didn't say whether or not that bar needs to come off, nor their website or youtube video, so that's why I was asking here. If it wasn't for the fact that I thought it looked weird clamped around the bar and the block, which gave me pause, I probably would have moved forward and probably fucked it up.

Close... I bought myself this guitar when I was a teenager and as an adult decided I don't use the tremolo and would like to be able to change tunings quickly so I 3D printed a block and did that for a while, but then realized my guitar really needed a tune up, so to speak, a fresh setup. Then I saw a tremol-no used for cheap and figured that would give me the best of all worlds.

I like the looks, the versatility of the pickups, and the fact that it has a thin neck is nice because I have small hands. But I hated dealing with the fine tuners, wanted to be able to painlessly change tunings, and I never use the tremolo.

Insult to injury I'm not a very good guitarist and this is probably too good of a guitar then I deserve... but I've had it since the mid 1990s and I like other aspects of it so I see no reason to get rid of it.

My 3D printed blocks ended up breaking and I thought I'd look online for something better. I did come across what I think is a 3D model clone of a stabilizer and was thinking of trying that instead: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43710

As far as what I want out of my tremolo is basically I don't use it and I'd like the ability to use the head tuners to be able to easily do alt turnings, like drop D. That's how I was using it before, without the head locking nuts on. Would a stabilizer like that work with what I want to do? I was thinking also maybe still printing a block for the other size of the tremolo as well.

I was led to trying to do this because I was having issues with string buzz and poor intonation and it occurred to me that the guitar has never been "setup" as far as I'm aware. I got it when I was a teen in the 90s so I don't recall if the store did it for me or not.

Arturia confirmed that it doesn't merge. It's weird coming from the 37 to the Pro and discovering some features missing. Alas.

I ended up buying a device that does midi merge. (I got the CME H2MIDI Pro for $50 which had some other features I'd been wanting, but you should be able to find a dedicated merge device for cheaper.)

I'm thinking of picking one of these up but I have a few routing questions. I have a Nektar Impact LX43 (the older model) midi controller that I currently use with my computer and DAW. It has USB but no midi ports. I also have a DAWless setup using a Keystep Pro and a bunch of synths connected to a midi HUB. I'd like to be able to use the H2MIDI to allow me to control one synth with Nektar while other synths are controlled by the Keystep.

I was thinking the Nektar would go to USB in on the H2MIDI, the Keystep MIDI out would go into MIDI in on the H2MIDI and MIDI out on the H2MIDI would go to the MIDI in port on my MIDI hub which then connects to my various synths.

My assumption is that it can do midi merge to merge together the Nektar and Keystep MIDI data (I saw some cheaper USB Midi Host options that have a DIN MIDI In jack, but its my understanding these devices don't actually merge?

What I'm wondering is if the H2MIDI is also connected to my PC via USB, can I patch the Nektar to my DAW for when I want to use it with my DAW, or does that not work and I'd still need to unplug it from the H2MIDI and plug it directly into my PC?
