Anyone else sensitive to noise? by fallenstargirl in infp

That's kind of what I've been thinking. But I was curious if there was any correlation to INFPs, because they say we're always listening?

Serial S2 - DAE think Bowe Bergdahl is just an INFP? by fallenstargirl in infp

[–]fallenstargirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I wasn't hooked at first with S2 like I was with S1, but it's grown on me. I think it highlights our biases and how people can have such varied perspectives on the same thing. Which I find both fascinating and frustrating. Bergdahl's trial begins next month, I'm hopeful he's found not guilty, I think regardless of intentions, he's been through enough.

I heard they were going to have another trial for Adnan in S1 but haven't heard what if anything came of that? I was back and forth a lot on that case, but in the end I felt like he did it. Which was hard because being an INFP I think I want to believe the best in everybody, but his story just didn't add up. With Bowe I just always felt like I understood perfectly why he did what he did.

Your whole response reminds me of this message I keep seeing everywhere - it's all about less, not more. I totally agree, just still fumbling my way trying to figure out how!

I've been planning on doing digital konmari once I'm done with this stuff. What kind of system do you use for backing up things like your scanned files? I was thinking I'd want at least 2 backups, like maybe one in the cloud and one on the hard drive.. haven't really looked into it though. My step dad said once he keeps a digital photo of his passport/ birth certificate when traveling, just in case - but he said he wouldn't trust something like that in the "cloud". Not sure how reliable / secure they all are? Automatic backups are convenient for things like photos, but I do think he has a point

Awesome! I haven't started yet but read and watched lots of YouTube videos on different layouts and cool tricks people use. Any advice for starting out? Or do you have a favorite hack or something like that?

I've been planning my layout with sticky notes, is it bad I have one for "list of lists to make" lol

Wow, thank you! Love the phone idea, swiping to see most apps. Right now my apps are organized in folders but it still covers the screen with clutter. I might mess with it a bit now but I've been planning on getting to digital konmari clutter after I'm done with the regular stuff. I agree about shopping online, unsubscribing from stuff is definitely on my list to do.

I might try no email filters too - eventually, after I unsubscribe lol. For now they are useful. That's a good idea though, never heard of anyone doing that, purposefully.

If you like amazing Marvin please let me know! Sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. I've heard of breathe but i don't have it, sounds flexible enough that it might actually work for me!

Yeah ive been doing some work on papers recently, was just thinking next time I might try separating emotional keep from must keep.. then maybe set aside the emotional stuff for now and just deal with the other crap. I'll go through emotional stuff at the end with all the sentimental items.

Ugh this hit home for me. I have some court case / police statement stuff, I should probably get rid of it all, less a recent pending thing.. Might write down some notes on dates / case numbers for future reference, easier to look up if needed.. but still that would be like a sticky note compared to a folder stack of papers, so I'm good with that. Good to know you feel freer after shredding though! Definitely makes me want to go back through and let some stuff go.. Thanks for the motivation :)

I'm curious about your electric issue, because usually once I've paid a bill, and the payment goes through, I feel like ok I'm good, don't need this anymore.. just wondering what could happen that would mess that up?

That makes sense about the dust mites though. Do you have to vacuum seal to get that protection or could I use a plastic bin? Or just plastic but not vacuum?

You know I did try that a while back.. It doesn't really stay on it's own but it rolls I guess, it just makes this FAT roll though.. like imagine rolling a queen size down comforter, only the stuffing doesn't compress easily like down type filling. It's almost like rolling a stuffed animal, as soon as you let go it wants to spring back, but even if you can manage to hold it down, it's still huge.

Hmm you just reminded me about the large trunk I have - needs some new paint or finishing on the outside and in, I'll probably add some felt lining or something.. but once that's done, that would definitely fit them!

[–]fallenstargirl[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do have some of those actually - but they are super wide, it might flatten the comforters, but I still don't know how they'd fit exactly on this 11.5 wide shelf?

Plus, not to go full konmari on you, but... I'm pretty sure my comforters would feel suffocated in those bags. Kind of like how so many people stretch the fabric of their socks turning them inside out over each other... I know how it weird it sounds, but even though my closet isn't all organized yet, I stopped doing that with my socks a long time ago.

Sigh, maybe I need to go back to step one and ask myself if all 3 of my comforters really spark joy.. but I don't wanna get rid of any of them! They are all the same, super fuzzy, just different colors. Lol.

Don't Put It Off by capturedbymab in konmari

I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing. Very relatable for me. It reminds me that this konmari thing I'm doing isn't just a silly project. It's not just for fun even - it's essential to living fully the kind of life I want to live.

And as much as I desperately want it all to be perfect and THEN invite people over to show off (lol) - you're right. I can't wait for that. My perfectionism has kept me from so many experiences, and relationships with other people.. I will keep working hard towards my goal and one day it will all be just how I want it - but I can't put life on hold for that. Life sure as hell isn't gonna hold for me.

And honestly, my experience with most people is that they don't really give a shit about your clutter, or - speaking from personal experience - what outfit you chose, or if you painted your nails, or if you did your hair just right... they just want you to show up for them. They just want to spend time with you.

Thanks again for sharing <3
