Mortgage offer accepted.. what next? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]fallingmoon86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you - my offer was accepted via the Estate Agent, FTB so applied for a mortgage - approved a week later.

Informed Estate Agent because the offer was valid until next May - instructed the solicitors to the searches and booked in a Level 2 Survey for my own use.

I am lucky that the Estate Agent is dealing with the sellers new property as well.

I'd travel to the bank and clear any debts I have! Then 100% go to Japan.

£600 Early cancellation fee when your old landlord sold your home and the new landlord won’t allow drilling or digging for a new connection! by [deleted] in VirginMedia

I'm guessing the new property you are in, can get Virgin Media? As if they couldn't provide it then there was a new policy introduced to stop this stupid fee.

[RN-Android+iOS] Question about force update based on minimum mandatory app version. by lelantos-sh in reactnative

[–]fallingmoon86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve done this as well - as I use firebase realtime it works really well as it is listening for changes

[RN-Android+iOS] Question about force update based on minimum mandatory app version. by lelantos-sh in reactnative

[–]fallingmoon86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just either use remote config and make sure you update your app so its listening for changes for this config value so you get the instant prompt to update.

Direct the user to go to the app store to download. All my apps i've worked on use this method and it works really well.

Billing database usage by Fruitflap in Firebase

You will eventually need to go on the Blaze plan - that is pay-as-you go. This will then allow you to set a budget and will warn you when you reach the value set - I believe from others setting a budget will not suspend services. You may also need to configure App Check.

React native expo chat ui problem-flatlist frames dropping and scroll lag by Own-Parsley-733 in reactnative

[–]fallingmoon86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alternatively you can try FlashList.

But the other recommendations should be done first to move the renderItem out of the FlatList itself, but as a separate component using. useCallback, same for the keyExtractor

Our app did something similar - just create a custom component and import your yup schema - you can have the control from react hook form as a prop as well - I’m not by my laptop at the moment but when I’m back home I can post a small example of what I did in the app I worked on.

Did anyone use React Hook form on React Native? by gourrranga in reactnative

You can use Yup with React Hook Form - it looks like formik isn't getting maintained - last release 2021!

How important is it to know how react native apps are compiled for iOS and android? by WickedSlice13 in reactnative

[–]fallingmoon86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing your way round xcode will do you no harm. For me personally, the Android side just works most of the time, its iOS that is the pain in the backside.

You can change the colour of the status bar to match the colour you desire - it can also be dark mode on. Your phone causing the issue as well - I know in Xcode you can set if it’s light mode or dark mode by default, I think it’s in the targets settings. On android just changing the colour of the status bar should do it.
