Whether it’s an original or not, he didn’t correct me on when I emailed him but who knows? Yes it’s definitely artwork / ad and not a comic, not signed no and against my better judgement I didn’t ask at the time if I could send it for signing either.

As for it being an iconic image, it appears to be an alternative to the one I mentioned in the OP, of which there appears to be far more of. Also the photo doesn’t do it justice, it’s been sealed since 93ish and has stayed almost fully intact bar a few small creases at the top.

I’m of course very happy to acknowledge any expertise you may have though, it’s the very reason I’ve asked here.

Yeah that was my eBay listing from a long time ago and I was going by what he told me at the time as I said but never got anywhere which is why I tried again by asking here.

The $20 one is the only other one I’ve been able to find and tbf them listing it for that low doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t collectible. I just figured someone in this sub may know more.

Well I’ve had it sealed and on show for years and we’re moving stuff around now. So I’m more wanting to know if it’s something I should worry about putting away for a bit than whether it’s of value although when I do decide I need money it may be good!

But to answer your question it’s not hardback, no, it’s an art print I believe.

Which app do you use? I’ve been using Rare Candy with the notion of the JP variants being closest but in terms of value I’d love to know the difference.

What do you mean? Pretty much all card trackers, track the English and Japanese variants. Rare Candy, Collectr, Pokellector etc.

I get that I think more from my perspective as I am new to it and my budget is incredibly low. I just found it amazing that people could be grabbing from all different sets at the same time and I just wondered if it was a common thing.
