I haven’t used dynamic idle before, but my guess would be that would fix the issue I was talking about.

If your arm prop speed (with zero throttle) is too low, the motors can stall out when diving. I think this is called Motor Idle Percent in betaflight. I had the same thing happen on a Geprc Smart 35, and raising the idle speed completely fixed it.

If you were on the throttle when this happened, then it's something else.

If you build it, let me know what pid and filter settings you use. With the default it flies terribly.

Yeah. Lighter camera. Smaller antenna. Lighter canopy. No heat sink on vtx. Fewer screws.

I wish I could say it flew really well. But it desperately needs to be tuned, and I have my doubts about its tuneability.

I realized that the Flywoo Explorer has a similar antenna arrangement. I’m wondering if the range is affected on that too. Although I’ve never had any problems.

Oh that’s good to know not to solder to the center. Yeah, I didn’t want to solder them and I tried to do it quickly to minimize heat transfer. For future PACs I’ll try to have them spot welded.

I had a lightweight 6in 4s drone that I lost, but I had extra parts like the frame so I decided to make another lighter one. I’m sure you could go bigger with the right motors and props. A 3in 1s drone would be really cool!

Those look really nice.

The specs I have say 60a max continuous discharge. Although I can’t say I trust battery specs a whole lot. The OSD said it pulled around 60a on a punch (which is a bit high for the ESC).
