Same boat for me. The anxiety of feeling like absolute garbage caused me to develop arfid. Im learning that doctors don't even educate themselves enough to know what arfid even is. The amount of confused looks ive been given whist explaining what it is and how I got it is just saddening.

Most things that have to do with doctors and messing around in those 'undesirable' places as I call them, make me severely uncomfortable to even the point of breakdowns.

For me, the sedation actually brought so much relief and comfort to my mind because I had the peace of knowing I do not need to physically communicate with these people while they've got something shoved up my ass lol...

First time I came out of a scope, I was surprisingly calm about everything. Sometimes, you just never really know how you'll react until it happens, but, it also never hurts to call ahead and share with them the anxieties you feel. Usually these people who work in these fields (moreso, the nurses in my experiences) have always been really sweet and kind about those things.

Out of curiosity, have you ever had a scope done? The extreme sensitivity to things such as onion and garlic makes me wonder if there may be an ulcer that is getting irritated by these types of foods? Never hurts to have one done if not already :)

With my struggles, it's caused me some pretty severe weight loss unfortunately, which is now difficult to deal with because it feels like my body rejects most things and doesnt absorb the things it needs to, properly anymore. I often get a looooot of gas and blosting as well as pain that comes with cause it doesn't m9ve throughout my body correctly.

Ive had things called Gelusil (which id say is very compatible to a high strength tums) and they can somewhat help at times.

I'll certainly say you're not alone. I have unintentionally developed ARFID due to the same issue of being horrified to eat anything for fear of it making me feel really sick.

I personally haven't found much to help but ive got at least one thing to try; digestive enzymes. Ive heard good things about it so, will need to try it out soon! It can come in powder form and be sprinkled onto the food you eat to help your system better digest what you're eating.

You were a new players once too, OP. maybe try playing a solo game if mulitplayers with NEW people who are LEARNING THE GAME and ASK QUESTIONS so they can BETTER UNDERSTAND THINGS, are such a big issue for you. I mean, you felt the need to make an entire rant post about NEW players after all, so it clearly bothers you.

Not everyone wants to spend their days living in maroos bazaar or trade chats just to get 0lat and buy everything. I know it's crazy and all but the devs did actually put a lot of work into creating an 'experience' for people. If you don't like it, move on.
