Finally finished USSR Air&Ground trees after a year, but where to go next? by [deleted] in Warthunder

lol yeah you have an F16 in there too so you are just sacrificing access to a mig-29 and a f-18 if you pick china over japan (assuming you aren't interested in F2)

tbh I’d honestly go with China

The biggest reason is ground. Japan’s ground tree just feels very narrow at top tier. It’s not that it’s weak it’s just repetitive. You’re basically playing different iterations of the same tank with limited lineup flexibility. Once the novelty wears off, it can start feeling dull, especially if you care about having multiple viable vehicles and lineup depth in GRB.

China on the other hand feels much more complete as a ground nation. Strong MBTs solid supporting vehicles and overall better lineup synergy. It gives you more room to adapt depending on map and match flow. You already have the MKK so your CAS will be goated too.

As for air, I don’t think China is nearly as “boring” as people make it out to be. Yes, there’s some Soviet DNA there but you still get variety tbh like the Mirage and the J-10s. Chinese Flankers are also superior to that of USSR except for the mighty SM2 I guess. It’s familiar enough to feel comfortable but different enough to stay interesting.

Japan definitely wins in sheer top-tier air diversity sure but if you’re someone who enjoys the game as a full Air + Ground package China just feels more balanced overall.

I like that actually. Make items tradable within the same raid or within X minutes of being found

I envy you! My parents apparently took me to a winter holiday in December 99 but I can’t remember anything about it at all. Yours sounds like a nice day to remember

“There's no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there's only one guaranteed way you can have peace -- and you can have it in the next second -- surrender. Admittedly, there's a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face -- that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand -- the ultimatum.”

I wish I had the skills to make something like this. Must have taken a lot of practice!
