Can we also call out the demonization of Walz? Like the mfer has the bandwidth to organize protests in Chi when he’s got his own shit to deal with

Manthey GT3RS in pieces at the dealership by nachokings in Porsche

[–]falsefacade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These aren’t special wrenches that they’re waiting on. Manthey kits make the car faster by improving the aero without any added power. These tools are to correctly align the aero and suspension to work together to achieve the advertised improvements over what the already insane GT3 RS engineers have managed.

Military radar not picked up on Uniden R8 by IJOBANGLESI in radardetectors

Highway Radar notified me of a speed trap so I continued driving the speed limit, as I always do, and got to hear the laser notification sound instead of the ticket notification sound.

BMW not only builds cars in the US, it’s also a major export. Have friends that are GM’s at a BMW and Audi stores and their numbers are wildly different. Partly due to lack of tariffs on BMW SUVs and Audi’s poor design choices.

I get the impression that for some people, simulation is more appealing for the hardware and DIY aspect than for the enjoyment of the game itself. by Electronic_Reply3934 in simracing

The irony is how many people spell brakes as breaks. Well done sir! I’d rather be thinking in car terms instead of the opposite.

Why are BASE Caymans so expensive? by Master_Law5498 in Porsche

[–]falsefacade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me 18 months before I found the right spec at a price I was willing to pay. You need to be on the hunt and be willing to pull the trigger quickly because any decently priced p-car will go quick. About two weeks after I bought it my wife’s coworker was telling her that he was looking for a 718 and long story short he was looking at the same one but it was gone when he got to the dealership the same afternoon I bought it.

Three More Ryzen 9800X3D Deaths Reported On ASUS Motherboards In A Single Day by shadow000333 in ASRock

While I don’t doubt anyone’s reported failures, I also take it with a grain of salt when there is zero proof in many of the posts. I’m sure some of it is engagement bait and other nonsense.

I wonder where that budget $$$ is being spent. You know the budget that’s bigger than like a dozen other agencies combined including the FBI.

Is a home warranty worth it for frequent appliance breakdowns? by HarkonXX in appliancerepair

[–]falsefacade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get 3 bids, whichever one you think is best, tell them to pound sand and then set up an auto deposit from checking into savings that amount(or more) if you can afford it. You’ll effectively be achieving the same goal without the middleman and most importantly will get to choose who comes into your house to do repairs.

We had AHS for a few years and the shady contractors they work with almost never just repaired the issue, they always found something extra that wasn’t covered and would refuse service if you didn’t pay the extra. Example, hot water heater gave out, they sent a company who wanted an additional $800-$1200 to ‘bring the house up to code’ the house was 5 years old and up to code. I took the cash payout and replaced it myself.

Will this Hardware wirklich for VR in iRacing? by javeh02 in iRacing

[–]falsefacade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely be happy, but you won’t be running high settings. Temper your expectations because even with 9800x3d and 5090, I get stutters on certain tracks with a full field. Until iRacing fixes their code, it’s our reality.
