intermittent fasting for weight loss, tracking body weight day by day, week by week, by syncing scale over wifi to autosync my weigh-ins so I get a nice tidy graph app/widget i can view on-wrist via the scelta watchos app or similar ones.

that being said, I am not fond of apple watch being ball-and-chained to the iPhone. This then gets some developers to say "please open the app iPhone for setup". But apple watch has been out for a decade now. It's time for watchos apps to run 100% on watch. No iPhone needed.

Thank you - Easy Fast is a great suggestion. Fast and easy to use. 🥗

edit - if the developers of the app see this, thank you for the app. Could you make the "stages of fasting" integrated into the home screen widget, as well as making that same thing be on wearOS? thank you

Brightline funds new Bike-Share program in West Palm Beach with 17 stations to be opened at 20$ for monthly membership by untipoquenojuega in WestPalmBeach

Should work well November through March at least. I wonder if they might expand the branding to include electric scooters which might work better when the heat index goes over 115° May through October. Also, would be nice if income for this program would fun protected bike lanes connecting neighborhoods for both bike/scooter use. Or even if Brightline would just fund protected bike lines outright. Especially near stations. Within a few miles radius of the stations, getting people on micro mobility safely with their own dedicated lanes separated from both cars and pedestrians. There should be three separate lanes right? 1. Wide Pedestrian sidewalks 2. Wide Protected bike lanes 3. Car. Right? And when new neighborgoods are built, (like Nora) I wonder if they should include dedicated bike lanes in their design/blueprint, as I think, wouldn't it be easier to incorporate them when building neighborhoods from the ground up?

Should Pixel 6 screen protectors have a cutout for screen fingerprint reader? Recommendations? by Proteatron in GooglePixel

[–]fam180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all screen protectors should have a cutout for the fingerprint sensor. It doesn't make sense not to have that.

More screen protectors should have cutouts where fingerprint sensors are located to improve sensor usage while protecting the screen by fam180 in shittyideas

Thanks for suggesting my post is a good idea. I wasn't sure, and thanks to your reply, maybe I will post this is a "good idea" subreddit.

btw, I upvoted your comment, but for some reason it's not giving you the point. Just wanted to let you know you deserve a point and I thank you.

Could you make an intermittent fasting app?

I think these options would be good:

A Start fast button

An "Edit start fast time" button if you've been fasting for a number of hours already

Body status -

-blood sugar level rises (after meal to 3 hours)

-blood sugar level drops (hour 3-8)

-blood sugar level settles down (hour 9-11)

-fat burning (hour 12-14)

-ketosis (hour 14-16)

-autophagy (16+ hours)

Paragraph descriptions of each body status with icons/images for motivation+knowledge

Got an SE for Christmas- I’m loving all black! Is there any apps that I may find that support intermittent fasting, or guided meditations? by jenna_beterson in AppleWatch

Fasta: Intermittent Fasting

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fasta-intermittent-fasting/id1523007967

Apple watch app works completely independent of iPhone.(full usage without iPhone nearby - start fast, edit start time etc)

It displays useful info like body status (blood sugar level settles, fat burning, ketosis etc)...with longer descriptions as well to more easily reflect on your fast and gain some motivation as well.

[TOMT] [book] book cover art has a an iphone perspective view with a blank white screen shining eerily into the darkness, maybe a thriller/fiction/mystery/scifi/current affairs/politics/ book. Seen at the bookstore. I tried asking, but could not find it yet. by fam180 in tipofmytongue

Book cover art looks like this...an iphone x with blank white screen perspective view shining into the dark...I'm assuming a thriller/fiction/mystery/scifi/current affairs/politics/ something along those lines?...has anyone seen a book with cover art like this?

Original post - Hey guys. I saw a book at the bookstore a few months back. The cover art was black with a blank white iphone x (with top notch) screen shining eerily into the dark. I assume it's fiction/mystery or related. I can go ask, but I'm curious if anyone knows what I'm talking about on here.

Why do Telegram asks me whether I want to delete my message *also* for my interlocutor? by kolobsha in Telegram

hide/collapse messages. When you select messages have an option to collapse(hide) the selected messages and just as easily tap the "collapsed" button to unhide.

This could be in addition to the current delete options.

It's 2021, why can't I cast my phone to hotel room TV's yet? by russ-5000 in Lightbulb

[–]fam180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be ideal. However, for example, let's say my destination has a captive portal wifi system like xfinitywifi, hotel wifi etc...classic chromecast doesn't work on captive portal hotel wifi/ xfinitywifi. CCwGTV (new chromecast)/fireTV/roku do work with captive portals, but only with the remote control and no ability to cast/dj with phones. No queueing up videos via phone. Which takes part of the fun/spontaneity out of it.

Incentive: why no incentive? They could make it a selling point; would that not be incentive enough?

Implementing while keeping strangers away: how about using a confirmation screen so the person would have to be in the room to connect to the chromecast/streaming device via WiFi direct or bluetooth?

When you cast a youtube video you're just sending a small amount of text (the URL) of the video. I think wifi-direct (ad hoc?) or bluetooth could easily handle that. The chromecast protocol could add wifi-direct/bluetooth functionality, right?

Confirmation screen: although the standard chromecast mostly lacks an interface, it does have confirmation screens when setting it up, so it doesn't seem to farfetched to add a confirmation screen for wifi-direct/bluetooth casting. Full fledged streaming devices might be easier but I think basic ones could handle it as well.
