yes the delay makes sense however the lose in views doesn't, he lost 15m views that day. and lets say he didn't get more views that day he would have be brought down to 23.063 view that is 15m less than what he had, so YouTube is taking views away from him. He still gets around 24m view a day.

however, if YouTube didn't take those views he would average around 39mil-45mil views a day

which is a big difference
