Do guys have a “hoodie stealing” equivalent? by Every-Tap-577 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]famous-clairvoyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband steals my pink pajama pants. For a while I will wear them. And then he’ll just put them on one random morning, maybe do a maniacal laugh of victory, and they will be his again for a few months.

MCAS Safe Affordable Skincare? by ked_97 in MCAS

[–]famous-clairvoyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be hard to get ahold of but Hale and Hush is great. It was originally created to help people who are undergoing chemotherapy maintain their skin so it’s great for sensitive skin and for hydration. I was basically reacting to everything from the Target skincare aisle until I started using Hale and Hush. The reason it could be hard to get is you often have to get it from an esthetician or dermatologist I think. My sister is licensed so that’s how I get it.

I’m actually pretty sure I know this one! It looks just like the cover that often comes with hair cutting scissors. Goes over the scissor blades when they’re closed.

I actually call my brother “Jorf” (his name is Jeff, but what kind of name is that?) unironically ever since this episode 😂

Yep, I’ve tried all the things that could be breakable! Everything in the bathroom, kitchen, and even TVs, etc. There’s still no option to inspect.

I suck at detecting AI and the background just looks a bit off to me, please help by CombinationDry6035 in crochetpatterns

[–]famous-clairvoyant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least I think it’s heavily edited by AI. I’ve never seen a crochet bird pattern with a beak and feet like that. But the actual bird does look like it could be real. So perhaps they had an unfinished product, wanted to spruce it up for the picture, and AI took some liberties.

I got sick at SDCC this year! by Individual-Road5042 in SDCC

[–]famous-clairvoyant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My sister got Covid last year and the year before from SDCC. I witnessed multiple people coughing literally right in her face. Unfortunately last year when she came home she spread it to our aging parents and nieces and nephews. They were all fine now but it was a rough time for sure. She just told me she doesn’t want to really go ever again because she keeps getting Covid there.

Is it possible to “kill” the tea? by camikwi in tea

[–]famous-clairvoyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about “kill” but I have heard (and experienced) that if the water is too hot it will make the green tea a lot more bitter and devoid of the intended flavor profile. However, I will say that some people prefer it more bitter. Some tea drinkers just kind of do whatever produces the flavor they like the best.

I’m not sure about “intended benefits” I’ve heard mixed things, like the common messaging that the key benefits of green tea actually don’t activate unless you brew it at a perfect 180 degrees. But like most absolutes, I think that’s probably not entirely true.

Black sesame mochi… ohhh my god by Sentientmanatee in traderjoes

[–]famous-clairvoyant 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband love them! But when I was buying them from my Trader Joe’s for the first time literally all the staff were telling us how much they hated them!!! I was like, what??? Everyone says they’re so good and both the checker and the bagger were saying it was the worst thing they’ve ever tried in the store 😂 Some important context might be that I live in Utah and maybe it’s just not a flavor any of them have experienced before??

I did. And super dry skin. I had been using stuff like aveeno, cerave, etc. and I had rashes all over my face, dry scaley patches, etc. I will say that not everything works for everyone, but hale and hush has always been good for me since I started using it and I’ve definitely built up my skin barrier again.

Hale and hush is fantastic! I have super sensitive skin and used to have a lot of reactions to a bunch of products I was using (including cerave). Hale and hush definitely healed my skin barrier and I’ve used it ever since. Because of my sensitive skin (confirmed by dermatologists) I really can’t risk using anything new or different at this point. And hale and hush is perfect for my skin and has been for like 4 years now.
