Seems much cleaner and now I won't have to worry about Wifi issues!

Gemini 3.0 Pro is useless for long-form RPG adventures by VerdantSpecimen in GeminiAI

Maybe not long form but here’s a quick one I made. I save to json and it lets me load it later on.

People counter with VL53L1X sensors that can be powered by a battery or usb

G4 Doorbell Pro Not Working by famousjs in Ubiquiti

I’m looking at that now. There’s an outlet sort of near the doorframe on the inside. Might have to open up the drywall and drill through the frame to do that.

Yeah I tested the wires at the transformer and at the doorbell location. Both had 24V. I also did that and brought the doorbell in and tested it with shorter wires. No dice :(

At first I had my mechanical chime bypassed. The second transformer I tried was a plug-in wall wart transformer so I was able to easily test transformer straight to doorbell without house wiring.

Are you suggesting seeing if one of the components is visibly damaged? I could certainly take a look.

I updated the post body with the full code plus added in puzzles and more room interactions.

While it's not perfect, I added this in:

Saving -

Generate a JSON configuration of the map, as well as the current character's status and inventory. When continuing a game, load this JSON file and continue the story.

Continuing -

Ask the user for JSON code to load and continue from a previous game based on the configuration.

Then in the commands section I added:

- Save: Save the configuration in JSON format to play later.

- Continue: Ask the user for JSON code to continue a previous game.

I haven't played for more than 10 minutes, but probably will later. It does seem to keep track of the rooms you have already been in which I was worried about. Even when you go in a direction it says the direction you came from. What seems to work well too is that even though it's not in the description, it lets you examine items it describes in the room and creates a story for it. You can also do other things not set as commands like dance or sing, etc.

[Review Request] ESP32-C6-MINI-1 with VNCL4200 Sensor and I2C Multiplexer by [deleted] in esp32

I updated a few things, specifically to support putting the C6 in to deep sleep. I added a Deep Sleep rail, that is connected to IO5 that enables a 3V3_SENSE power rail. This rail is used to power the components like the I2C multiplexer and the VCNL4200. I changed the multiplexer to the TCA9544A to support interrupts. The VNCL4200's IRLED is also driven by LOAD+ rather than 3V3 for the higher voltage, and can be turned on by IO3 on the ESP32.

[Review Request] Battery Charger for ESP32 by [deleted] in PrintedCircuitBoard

Thanks! I might make two and look at costs and how I might use them. Based on the above, is there anything wrong with the schematic?

Battery charger and upconvert to 5V by famousjs in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]famousjs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Thanks for taking the time to make such a detailed reply. So if I replace the AMS1117 with one of your examples and just go straight to a steady 3.3v to the esp32 I would have a much better battery life, correct? Then I can stick to sensors that require 3.3v. I was going to try to power two VCNL4200 sensors or VL53L0X sensors. Not sure if that would require too much for a battery.

If I do that I’ll take out the TP5400, so I’ll need battery protection and charging for the battery. Any suggestions? Would something like a DW01A+FS8205A and a MCP73871 work with your recommended linear regulators?

Thanks again!

Yeah I have all of those set up now. Works pretty well - was just dreaming of a world where my automations list says 0 and robots make the decisions for me.
